But, if you want to know in advance that the given fief will be yours or not, just ask the king whom he supports. Convince him if you can, and try gaining the support of some other lords as well, just to be sure. Iirc, the king's final decision can change if you don't have some lords backing up your claim, and if everyone else beside the king voted for a different lord.

As for Kadan Bahadur Khan, make sure you'll hang him by his balls the next time you'll meet him on the battlefield, for such a despicable act
