It's the annual christian tradition of giving something up for the 40 days jesus was in the desert being tempted by the devil. people will give up stuff like sugar, coffee, watching TV, smoking, you know anything you would like to do less of. It started today and ends at easter
I feel very stupid, I misread it as "Lint"
Give up something such as "Jacking off" although that might be a little hard. How about giving up something harmful, like eating cookies or ice cream or that crack or anything else other than TV and Videogames which is like giving up food and water which is impossible.
Why ask here of all places? This is a secular (not necessarily anti-religious, just non-religious) forum, don't expect much religious responses. (Or try in Off-Topic Chat. Incidentally, there's a Are you religious thread w/ poll.) If you have to get other opinions online, best do it on a proper forum.
For real fun, inform your priest you intend to give up Christianity for lent, then watch him try and work out the logical paradox. Bonus points if his head explodes or he flips and starts shooting people!
