History of the historical legion]
The Legio tertia Consvlaris (The Third Consular Legion) was a legion mustered together with it's sister legions Legio I Consvlaris/i] and Legio II Convlaris and Legio IV Consvlaris, the Legio III Consvlaris  by the Consuls of Rome in times of war. The consular legions were levied from Rome in times of war, and they were disbanded after. The legions consisted of poor. young peasants, filling the roles of Hastati and Velites, while the older and richer land owners fought as Principes or Triarii. Every man had to purchase his own equipment.  The consular legions were always led by the consuls, hence the name.

Well, there are no records of middle-Republic Roman legions in the net. Or atleast not in Wikipedia.
Mostly because they were just disbanded after campaigns, yes? But well, makes having a periodically "true" clan names hard, so they'll have to get by with some later thingies.
