Left 4 Dead 2 - problem

So, I've got Left4Dead 2 demo. I've played it through few times, So after a week, I today wanted to play a session again, but the game wont start up. So I go to my steamapps/common/left4dead2 demo
folder and try to launch it from there. This goes fine, but after the intro movie the game crashes and gives me an engine error: "No permissions to run 'left4dead2'".

I tried to google it, but didnt find any info. I also tried to download it again from steam, but the demo seems to be no longer available for me there. Is it so that the demo isnt available anymore, now that the full version has come out?

The L4D1 demo did that, so that might be the problem.

Oddly enough, I can still play L4D1's demo by going to my SteamApps folder (it informs me that it's locked the first time, but works fine the second time). I don't know if that will work for L4D2, as I'm honestly not intending to try the demo.
