Leave Story for Sandbox and give us THrowing Axes already...

Alright first question is there a way to leave story mode for sandbox and take your character with you (other than starting over in sandbox normally and carrying your stats)?

Second part those throwing axes of doom that I feared, loathed, and loved from other mods (and native) should be put in this thing. Historically accurate or not it's easier to go in with a throwing axe, use all but the last one and then melee with it. It saves space for another weapon, or even a shield.

Granted historically throwing axes stopped being used at some point by vikings, but they did make a come back at some point. PLUS I feel that in this thing if you're in an area where they were popular you'd probably see them...and some of us would go. "Oh let me try!" and go to use them. GRANTED the way this thing is the most range weapons suck unless you use them point blank when the enemy lowers their shields....shields take soooo much dmg it's crazy.

If you finish the story of storymode you can turn it into a sandbox game. That has been implemented a while now.

Haven't fully finished it yet. Any details on how to go about it, or does it just do it?

Hi,
You can continue into the sandboxe once you have finished the storyline. But remember you move from one mode to the other... not everything might make sense (reborn companions).
Throwing axes, sorry, no. Look for once the several threads where this has been already discusses.

Yeah im not going to go dig through hundreds of pages for throwing axes information. I am also calling in the credentials of your historian, as there is a line between accuracy and fun. The mod is fun, historically there would still be throwing axes whether you want to see that or not, granted they might not be as big as they were at one point but they are still there.

might want to consider that i've studied this **** as it is my ancestry, I know more than most of the people wondering where the axes are.

Nobody is stopping you from making a mod that adds throwing axes. You don´t even need the module system for that. And then you can share it so all those people are happy too.

Shouldn't have to make a mod for items that should already be there.

So instead of fixing bugs/adding meaningful new features to the DLC, the devs should...spend time creating an animation for an object that will have exacly the same use and funtionality as a throwing spears?

Shouldn´t, but have to. Or go without them. That´s up to you.

The thing, like Dane Axes, was argued to death and the Brytenwalda team made their stand. I hardly think they will change their mind at this point.

The throwing axes was a discussion long time ago discussed, explained and something we don't want to re-discussed. Check the multiples threads about it and I'm sure you will find that it makes perfectly sense the decision we made.

There are plenty, I'm sure you can find someone.

In short, there are no evidence they were used in that period (and I'm not an historian to discuss that and I won't do it) and therefore they were and won't be added.
Of course you are free to encourage some modder to add them

That's all I need. Thanks.

>_> how about adding an option to throw your weapon other than a spear or javelin? We all know out warband soldiers get sex nuts with their throwing weapons, and we also all know that chasing down an enemy is annoying as hell...sometimes i'd just like to lob my sword at them.
