1. 'Valley of Swamps' map by CalenLoki added to map list
2. 'Oceania Optimized for FPS' by Crazed Rabbit added to map list
3. Surcoats over Mail added and rearranged. Meshes/textures obtained from: Thick1988's Varied Warband Equipment
4. Commodity prices on Oceania reduced significantly.
5. More commodity prices added: Valley of Swamps utilises varied prices for different locations
6. Updated Warhorse model used.
7. Added 'warhorse_sarranid' model with Charger stats to provide a non-red Charger alternative
8. Installer rar file is now a standalone installer - see new installation instructions


 
how about to have just local chat...maybe it will be a little annoying but it would be very realistic and ppl would have to get together to talk...
 
I think faction chat should be taken out, it's unrealistic and it means you can work with people without actually talking to them, which is pretty lame.

I doubt anyone in this setting would have a radio.

Ah, so the honeymoon has ended for faction-chat. Our position is that, while faction chat is 'unrealistic', if we remove it then people can simply use VOIP programs to communicate remotely.

Then you'd simply be punishing those who don't have a microphone.

Well, any person with a password can join a VOIP session, while people spying on other faction's chat is bad. Such things wouldn't happen if it was deleted, because some faction sometimes hire mercs, and those can go to VOIP channel, but cannot read their faction chat, thus it has no sense currently.
IDEA: Replace global with admin\OOC (like in FPW) and remove faction chat.
