late game bugs / observations [for gdwitt's submod for repolished]

Hmm. Do they do it that way in VC?
Would it be possible for a novice to do that script?
I know how to change or add lreps of npc's via scripts.txt using the script there.
I think it would be much better to have the file accessible to players as you propose.
 
i decided to not start a new game but keep playing on my late game character despite the odd glitch of not being in my own party screen or having party skills (therefore, if i have no one in my party my prisoners go to 3/3 allowed. if i have one party member it goes to 101)

[the version i have is updated up to may 5th hotfix]

the anglo helm at the special blacksmith should have more armor to make it special enough to be there, esp. now that there are new helmets with similar armor values (like pic). or we should maybe put the anglo in normal shops and put a more special one to replace it

the blue hauberk you get at the special blacksmith is named blue mail once in inventory and doesn't give special skill boost (wasn't sure if i remember if it was supposed to now. but just a reminder about the consistency to the name once it's figured out what to call it)

during a siege i came across a sword called native with lowercase n.  when i chose the secondary function it turned into a 2-hander but the icon changed to a maul.  then when i set it back down it had a sheath on it. not a big deal i guess

this is crazy but now the battle map is shrinking in the opposite direction, now it's becoming skinnier horizontally sometimes!

this was random and only ran into it once. tried to recruit people at a town in wales, so that would have put them in the briton tree

i have been accepting every lord that comes to me. figuring, even if they're debauched at least they're not serving another kingdom. they can carry troops but i won't give them a fief. i'll do a mass exodus later when i get enough upstanding ones. but for now there are so many of them they're like ants near my capitol. and then even more of them resting in town

that was in some random town, but i also saw him in cirren ceaster more than once. maybe he is accidentally a permanent traveler there?

 
Sorry, I didn't upload the new sub mod yet due to problems with quests not working and things not appearing where they should.
fell asleep after 12 hours on the job.
30 more minutes.

It's so easy to fail an multi-step quest that I understand now why the original creators made it non-sequential.

This Beowulf and the new Horn quest are sequential and require that you do each step to get to the end point.
If you fail, you can go back to the quest give and ask for another try, but first you must confirm that the quest is failed and removed from your quest screen before he can give it back to you.

The Horn quest allows you to get the Horn that was formerly obtained from the Rheged quests.
The king of Rheged has a nice surprise for you now instead of giving you a horn.
 
The Horn is now the Horn of Arthur.
The quest is only a stump that is given once you finish the Beowulf quest.
Basically, you have to go out and bring back 3000.
I might lower the price a bit for the hotfix.
When I find time, it will be come a new bard quest where you have to find something for the Bard and he gives you the horn.

The king of Rheged quest is still there but is only important to unlock Odin's cave and XP.
The king gives you a nice present that's much more in line with his character.
 
i'll post late game screenshots here too

this guy was using a pot of stew as a shield. or since it's in his right hand maybe as a weapon. i saw on the notices a bonhedyr killed my archer from far away, and those are lower tier troops (without default throwing spears?) so i wonder if he had thrown a stew at him

im posting my weekly budget. i've put enterprises in every town. that's probably ridiculous though, i just wanted to maximize regular income i could count on instead of variable kinds like selling stuff

[why do my images get stretched they should be smaller]

i've taken most of britain except a couple towns of suth seaxe (don't have the heart, they were my only ally as i was taking the island and everyone else was at war with me)

Great. It looks like Rome TW. Do you have any overhead shots when there were there were still several hold outs in England?

Is Ireland declaring war or are they suing for peace?

Everyone: I won't be able to release another version until about May 24 or so.
Please post any significant bugs you run into.
 
i haven't been declared war on since i had 1/4 - 1/3 the map. since then i only get requests for non aggression treaties.  i don't think the player can have trade agreements between the ai so i don't get those.  i don't get alliance requests either though the computer can do those (don't think you can do it through your minister either)

i just noticed why i took that mountain screenshot was because the notice in the lower left corner said people were falling unconscious for no reason

what causes that? once in awhile it'll say a companion or a troop just "fell unconscious"
steep mountain climb thin air or what

it can't be from a fall since that's the only thing where they'd get knocked out without a culprit. and even when they do fall to their death the notice says they were defeated by the last person to attack them (i've noticed this.. if i hit a guy and he walks off the wall it'll say i knocked him out)
 
I can only think of the bleeding script. Haven't you noticed that once you're wounded beyond 60%, you only have 2-3 minutes before you fall unconscious?
The horses have the same script.
If it is out of wacks, we might be able to change that.
People pump out epinephrine to avoid fainting.

There is no script for thin air.
