Im a vassal of swadia and when the last castle went down everyone disappeared. now swadia is waging war with everyone to regain lost territory yet Im the only one doing the fighting. how can I break the vassalage oath now without anyone to break it with?

Tried that. Asked Sultan Hakim and had a 30 acceptance rating and he just reminded me I had a sworn oath with the Swadian king. My reply was, Your right, please ignore my rambling. Im assuming in native game when faction is eliminated you lose your allegiance and automatically go back to free merc status.

You can use cheat menu to get accepted to faction by speaking to any lord.

Since there is not a solution for this without using the cheat menu, I went ahead and started a new game.........pity!  You'd think that these fiefless and pennyless bums would be panhandling in front of a tavern in one of the major towns. If this happens again, right before that last castle goes down when they are all in there cowering in the corner, Im letting them know that hey dude, you don't have to stay here. You have horses and by the way give me that magna carta so I can wipe my *** with it on the way out the door.

Don't be shy to use debug mode(not cheat menu ) to solve little problems. That's why they added it(I guess).

Yes if you use those "cheats" and debugs to solve bugs with this imperfect game, there's no real issue. There are a lot of scripting errors not just with this mod but also in Native. It happens sometimes. It's not the same as giving yourself 50 in every stat, 10 in every skill and 600 in every proficiency, and 100,000,000 denars, which is cheating (but I still don't judge you if you do it lol... it's a single player game and each person has different goals in playing, etc.).

Anyway I love playing for the Swadians because of the difficulty, though holding Dhirim is usually quite profitable for me in the long run. I hate King Harlaus so if I plan on helping the Swadians I usually help Isolla with her rebellion. She usually turns out to be a bad ruler, but I think she's still better than Harlaus. Harlaus keeps declaring war, then suddenly declaring a feast. That makes me angry because I'm the only one actually defending the kingdom at that point...
