This is the story of Ariadram Furnhelm, last of the bloodline of great Antarian kings.
prologue,
It starts 1239 Imperial Age,
Ancient Antarian kingdom is at war. Her allies already succumbed under the influence of roman power, Antaria is the only spot of enlightenment in the darkness known as Roman Imperium. King Helafios II had taken refugees from all over the other parts of the alliance known as the enlightened kingdoms. Embracing the religion of Enlightenment and the True Way of living.
With these refugees travelled a Noble carrying a child. Soon he approached the great gates of Isoles, a fortress city and a home for almost 40 000 men, women and child. Helafios greeted the stranger into his court.
"Forgive my rudeness, but that seems to be the ancient banner of Furnhelm, the great ancient city of Arnoi Empire, I have lived in the assumption that all of the Furnhelm bloodline were destroyed in the early years of Roman Imperium almost 30 years ago?" Asked Helafios. "No, our soldiers sacrificed themselves in order to save the bloodline. Romans killed King and Queen, but I was able to escape. My Father sent me and my wife, lady aliane, away with his elite bodyguards just before the siege started" Answered noble. "I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name" king said with a little awkward smile on his face, "that's because I didn't say it, My name is Aryar Furnhelm" Said Aryar.
"and the boy you're carrying?" Helafios added
"He is my bloodkin, Ariadram Furnhelm" Said Aryar and continued "I'm begging you to raise this child! I'm going to head to north and try to find last Outpost of my kin, the journey will be perilous one, one I'm not sure ill survive. But I must try, for my Kins sake and for the sake of whole antaria!"
King nodded with silent understanding as Aryar turned and handed the child away to the maidens at the Helfios court.
