Need More Info Lags Hard in siege battles

Siege lag is 100% an AI pathing problem just had the worst lag i have had to endure yet.
Yes i play on pretty much max settings I have tried reducing a couple of things that supposedly make a difference like shadows to static and cloth simulation to no effect.
Also if it was an cpu or gpu isssue the lag would ease as soldiers died but it does not and only seems to start once you are on the walls.

My Rig -
CPU 2700X Watercooled
GPU 1080Ti
16GB Corsair ram (@3200mhz IIRC)
1TB SSD
9x Corsair maglev fans
Rig running cool as a cucumber

Edit - Just had a siege and i made sure the second gate got destroyed did not get a single bit of lag.

I thing that there is a big problem with the sieges that will be very difficult to solve... Once on the walls the lag is mastering + AI act retarted attackers and defenders

Defenders just move radomly passing by enemys doing nothing at all and attackers doesnt even use war machines and are doing nothing... Defenders even cant fill up the walls with archers to do a proper defence... Noemally you should not take so easy the walls but to take the walls is TOTALY EASY

Siege need fix... a big fix... In warband you had to think twice before siege a town or castle... this now is total easy

They will get it sorted until then as someone else has mentioned there is kind of a fix you can do yourself.
Someone posted in this thread that taking the second gate down seems to solve most of the pathing issues and thus the lag issues.
I can confirm this having tested it multiple times last night just go with the battering ram and smash that second gate asap. Only ever got some very minor stutttering once done and i have 1k battles and max settings.
 
I've had it get so bad I've had to kill the process (see )... I was hopeful about disabling delegation, but that did not improve anything for me. My workaround was to tell all my troops to 'stop'... The hanging immediately went away and I was able to run in and kill the AI stragglers one at a time by myself...

Definitely AI pathing related. I've seen it happen where a soldier clips through and gets trapped behind a stair or inside a wall and all of the AI on the opposite team are trying to get to him but can't reach.
 
Same here, pretty annoying issue, hope it will get solved soon! This should a priority honestly and i see this as sitting here for 3 months :/
 
Is this solved in 1.4.3? If not then why? This is making battles unplayable, not sure why focus on adding content when there is still this bug.
 
This problem should be fixed with the released patches since you have reported this issue. Are you still experiencing this issue?
