Need More Info Lags Hard in siege battles

Hello from me too

I experienced a like master lag in a siege with 1000 soldiers and it was the first time after of hours playing that I experienced something like this playing all the time at 1000 soldiers in every single battle. I was seeing like pictures before is outlag and play normal again. Maybe of the siege push the game over of the limits with 1000 soldiers in it

By the way my pc is a little beast
2070RTX super
AMD Ryzen 7 3700
32gb Ram

But still it died in this siege

Yep same problem, have an RTX 2080, a good CPU, and a ton of RAM. It happens when a ladder or siege tower hits the wall. It lasts a few minutes then it goes away.

yeah its a big problem need to be solved... also there is some reaterted moves from AI in the siege battles when there are so much of them

Yeah I notice during the Siege they don’t really try to, you know, defend it. It’s pretty wack. Lots of work needs to be done.
 
Also soldiers must not act reterted they must def or attack properly... you cant have a masive calste with masive walls and only 20 archers on it and 2 catapults that cant do nothing and cant be used.... also not using the little windows on the walls dont know why.... this have to be fixed... I want a rain of arrows

Yo i'm straight up just getting crashes whenever the enemy troops reach the gates! that ****ing sucks
 
It's something with the AI Pathing. The constant searches for a new path if second Maindoor is closed grills the CPU... ( If the second Maindoor is opened everything is back to normal. If you close it again you'll get 5 FPS)

This explains it, and if it's true it shouldn't be too hard a thing to fix, can we somehow bump this to the devs?
 
Had an issue with units manning catapults, only to decide they are going to charge the gate do a 180 and walk back to the catapult. Repeat. The AI Commander of the siege seems to be giving out orders constantly making the AI keep changing their pathing.
 
It has to do with siege equipment. When using battering rams and siege towers near walls and gates is when it seems to occur for my friends and I.

Right on the money but as colinkelley said it also happens with ladders.
 
Semi fixed it by disabling the delegation command (F6) during the siege, seems there's an issue with AI that's probably looping out of control.

Edit: Note, the AI still behaved normally even with delegation command off.
 
I had the same issue yesterday. Weirdly, when I levelled up during the battle I had a few seconds of good FPS. Then as soon as the battle ended the FPS went normal again.
