Lady Knights - One Man..er..Woman army?

The topic says it all , I don't think I've ever seen a stronger unit in Native Expansion. I assaulted Curaw with 17 Lady knights and they slaughtered nearly 210 of the 340 garrison between them , with 3 of them dead at the end :razz: . My other supporting troops were 4 Prateorian commanders , 2 Counts, 10 Princes and a bunch of Merc. Crossbows and Marksmen.

I initially assaulted Curaw just to see how far the Lady Knights would go (my entire army consisted of 86 guys/gals) , and the result was me sitting on my shiny new town. Is there any other unit in M&B that can kick asses as hard as the Lady Knights?

EDIT : So , with my 14 remaining Lady Knights , I pulled off the same stunt against Reyvadin. The result? 7 of them injured and 6 dead , and again they murder half of the garrison over there.

I'm playing on Normal difficulty , with Good AI and BattleSizer at 100. I think the sieges were made easier with the Siege Add-on though; extra ladders helped the Lady Knights to storm the Town walls quickly before those poor Archers could fire a few shots.

 
Depends on what's at the top of the ladder when you attack. Tough as they are, I've seen Lady Knights get mown down by top tier archers or crossbowmen and if there's a crush of Paladins or Ivory Guards at the top of a ladder they get shredded like any other troop.

They are rather awesome though.
 
Those Ivory Archers can shoot down Lady Knights if you're not careful. That aside, they're well worth their price.  :mrgreen:
 
Speaking of Unit Stats, is there a wiki that lists all of the stats of the units in Native Expansion? Or must we always access it via in-game?

Also, if your machine can take it, increase your battle size. Those Lady Knights are good, but more higher-tier troops in the defending army offsets them a good deal. With it set to 100, no defending garrison can pack enough archers to do you damage AND have some high tiers at the top of the ladder to hold you up (unless you're seriously outnumbered).

Re the siege pack add-on: try sieging Sargoth. That second ladder is a complete deathtrap  :smile:

Well , I did try BattleSizer at 300 a while back;but that was before the Siege Add-on was developed. No Lady Knights were present in that version of Native Expansion back then. And yes, 200+ archers spawned on the wall = a deathtrap. Will try Sargoth once I get the opportunity to do so. Nords <3 me too much atm.

I have observed Lady Knights versus Varangian Berserkers , and usually the Berserkers came out on top. I think I'll reform my army and have Lady Knights & Berserkers from now on. Not sure about those Swadian Paladins though , haven't been at war with them.

P.S :  I hope my current Claimant quest doesn't bork with a "NO STRING" error. Speaking of which, did Jinnai ever get around to fixing that?
 
No it hasn't been fixed and probably won't be for a while at least. The general consensus is don't bother doing the claimant quest. It's more fun to take it all for yourself.

Well, they have some trouble climbing the ladder alive, but when they do...oh my, meat grinder at its best.

They're bloody fast though. Troop of choice it you're infantry looking to chase down some cavalry.
 
I see , so..how do Nord Champion Huskarls/King's Berserkers fare when compared to Varangian Berserkers? In stock M&B , Huscarls were the ultimate meat grinders.
