Lack of color variety on clothing

This has been driving me INSANE. Every tunic, every bit of exposed cloth on armor, has to have the faction's colors on it, and I've had enough. I'm playing as Sturgia, and I'll tell you that sickening shade of blue on clothing is really getting to me.

It is not realistic and it just drives me insane how EVERYTHING I put on my character turns blue. I can't deal with it anymore, I'm off to play Viking Conquest. The lack of color variety makes me want to puke a dozen times over at the blandness. PLEASE, make it so we can CHOOSE our own clothing color. My banner is blue, my shield is blue, why make EVERYTHING BLUE?! Goodbye. Once I get over my bout of insanity I might come back. I'm sorry for my attitude, I just can't keep staring at that blue.

I saw footage of what the clothing looked like in the MP Beta a few months ago, and the faction DID NOT determine the color of clothing. And it shouldn't. After a while it gets really gross, and it's horribly unrealistic for the MIDDLE AGES, when standardization was very hard to come across. This definitely needs to be changed or at the very least made toggle-able. For multiplayer sure, it helps people know who's who. Not that the gigantic circles over their heads don't already help with that or anything. But singleplayer, it ruins immersion and it's ruining my eyes.

I hope they pay attention to this, because it is depressing how little thought they are giving with some of their ideas. I don't mean to beat Taleworlds up, but seriously. I want this game to be the best it can be, I get it's early access and all but that's why I am writing this. Now is the time for things to be changed. In Warband, they had heraldic mail for people who wanted to display their colors. Why not make it a thing in this game? Rant is over.

Agreed. Apparently it's that way so we know who's from which faction, but could you really not just change the color of the lord's name? Like in Warband? A system that worked perfectly? I just don't get it, I hope this is something mods will be able to fix.

Thankfully if you use the banner creator and ctrl+v it in game (on the banner screen) you can be another color than your faction.

I actually like this feature cause I can't stand the little banners on friendly troops, and when I turn it off the obvious colors help differentiate betwen enemy and ally.

I get that, that is why I think it should be toggleable. There's no reason to go one or the other, when we can have the best of both worlds.

I definitely agree. If it makes you feel any better, even if the devs don't put it in, there'll be a good mod for it soon.
