Lack of blunt weapons for Sturgia and Aserai

From what i've played in e1.7.2, it seems to me that Aserai and Sturgia consistently get screwed over by anyone who has a high armor rating. With Blunt damage being the best way to counter heavy infantry, heavy cavalry, or the Khuzait Khan's Guard, here's the options that both factions have:

Aserai
Tribal Warrior w/ Aserai Mace
Veteran w/ Aserai Heavy Mace

Sturgia
Berserker w/ Maul

Aserai admittedly has a somewhat better chance against armored opponents compared to Sturgia, though I feel like with so few options compared to other factions, I think it's fair to say that these two factions can be easily outplayed as a result of needing to overrely on these particular units for blunt damage when going against heavily armored opponents. I think both factions could have their options for blunt attacks be expanded, especially Sturgia since the Maul is so painfully slow that most one-handed weapons can outswing that thing.

Perhaps the following could work?

Guard
Improved Armor replaced with Quarterstaff, Sturdy replaced with Improved Armor
Reason: There's no reason to use the Tabar at all since Sturdy does basically the same thing as Improved Armor. Pickingeither the Two-Handed Sword or Bardiche as your Perk 1 with Sturdy being your Perk 2 allows you to have better armor and a better weapon simultaneously. As for how the staff would be balanced, I imagine it'd have a swinging speed around the mid-80s and a reach of 145, with a swinging damage around the low 50s, and a low 20s blunt stab. I imagine a weapon as described could also work as a bastard polearm, allowing the Guard to use the Quarterstaff as a one-handed thrusting weapon upon acquiring a shield off a dead player.

Hunter
Sturgian Sword replaced with Sturgian Light Mace
Reason: I can understand a Shield Perk downgrading your bow, though the Sturgian Sword that comes with the perk feels like it actually downgrades your Raider Axe since it has a weaker swing, slightly less reach, and doesn't deal bonus damage to shields. I think a blunt weapon would feel more like a sidegrade to the default axe when swapping out the longbow for a shield.

TODO: Brigand blunt weapon. I feel like a basic wooden cudgel reinforced with a steel frame wouldn't look out of place with the Brigand's aesthetics, though the perk setup doesn't really give much leeway for that.

You would literally make Hunter the best infantry in sturgia if you give it a mace lol
Varyag could've just kept it's mace and all would be well

Problem with that: TaleWorlds seems insistent on making the Varyag an axe specialist. I think other Sturgian classes would need to be balanced around the Varyag's lack of blunt weapons as a result.

Can we really rely on a 130 cost unit wielding a 74 Speed weapon that barely ever does the crush through thing that it was advertised to do?

As i've mentioned earlier, most one-handed weapons can easily outswing the Berserker's maul, and there's really no reason for the Berserker to cost 130 vs the Savage's 110.

Only other source of blunt damage that Sturgia has is the Sturgian Warrior w/ combined arms, though this is specific to captain mode and is also at the mercy of a random number generator.

I feel like the only other Sturgian units to give blunt weapons to would be the Brigand and Hunter. x:
