Has anyone else noticed what a douche this guy is?
He starts out with a -3 relation with me and refuses to give me any other quests than

can you trainz some unitz fo me cuz i too lazy

and

can u kill this guy for mi cuz i owe him mony and i dont wanna pay him back

It pains me to have to develop a more positive relationship with this guy in order to build property in Rivacheg.

On a side note, can anyone tell me if Freelancers are worth hiring? I realize that they are an all-around unit (according to Sigmund), but I'm concerned about investing into them if they can't prove themselves to be worth more than say, the more specialized faction units.

Freelancers have weaker stats then the Kingdom units, so if you are used to combining the best of each area into your army it is probably not worth it. They are more flexible and also look nice because of the various heraldic armors even for lower tier units.

Ofc you can always edit the stats to be identical to the Kindom units using morgh's editor if you like if that is what is putting you off.

if you win a tournement in any of the Vaegir cities, immediately after winning go to castle and dedicate your success to a married lady. Then ask her to help you with Meriga; will cost you 3k to go from -3to 0.

Wang Belir in Narra is a similar situation; though he's not as slimy.

Re: Freelancers
As they're currently set up they're not really worth it, imo. Yeah, they're mercs; means their morale stays 'excellent' no matter whom you're fighting (as long as you win!). But Sigmund only gives out <15 recruits at a time. Whereas if you can get your relations with a village in the 90's, you've got a decent chance of being able to recruit high-tier units in large (>30) numbers.

Personally, I used an editor to give Freelancer top tier units better gear. And more varied gear, like hammers for early game, when I need prisoners for ransom. Gave the Swordsmen & Swordmasters crossbows+bolts, for example. Now I like them a lot 

Don't know what happens if you get Sigmund to come to your capitol and train troops for 10k/month. Maybe he unlocks special gear or ups their stats? Don't know, but am curious.

I hired him. But as far as I can see, he doesn't really do much. What's interesting is that even if you hire him and he appears in your court, there's an option to hire him again. 


By the by, do you know if it's possible to court and marry an already married lady? Knyaz-Consenzio Meriga is such an douchenugget that I'd like to steal his wife.

Married women are off limits!
In Brytenwalda mod there are 'hores' you can hire for yourself or your men. You can also attempt to seduce and bed your comapanion(s). Finally, your wife won't boff you until you greatly improve your relations with her..

But Floris follows a higher moral standard. Which is a pity, as douche Meriga could stand to be cuckolded.

If you or someone else takes Rivacheg he tends to rather quickly defect to another faction, as he's a slimy, shiftless bastard. Apparently, his mother dropped him on his head when he was an infant..

Dont be fooled that freelancers are weak.

My customized geared Archer freelancer with 40p Bow make even best archers cry.

They are level 5 with almost the best archer gear.

Easy to train and almost max damage.


THey have a unique role in my game.
