Cut some polies at the curves, LOD4 shouldn't be much more than just the 'bones'. Just remember to leave enough polys for the joints(like the knees) on LOD0, LOD1 and LOD2. I guess for LOD3 and LOD4 bad distortion wouldn't matter that much anymore.
 
great progress Couched, keep it up!! btw the idea Altair2 brought up of adding spurs ain't bad...  :grin:
 
He would have to re-do all the models and textures for boots...not something I would ask of him when theres more important and more noticeable work to be done.

I said it isn't a bad idea not that he should do it.  :wink: all work of this mod is important and should be appreciated. and I do.

just a wild guess but stop sword cuts would be a thought :wink:  and of course it's a big target for arrows as well

the ragged appearance?  some were just like that, others went from that to full  go figure  either way what I said still applies  of course you didn't actually mention or link the exact picture so I figured you meant in a general way :wink: you're welcome
 
I thought veagir knight's horse's head was specific enough :smile:

I was just wondering if having the whole neck protected by mail would make more sense instead of the triangles with hardly any protection value.

Is there anyways to merge this mod and Lord and Realms ? In order to have textures of knights with the gameplay of LaR ?
 
Great mod! I personally think that Swadian Lancers are overpowered due to couched lance damage. You could add some more polearm-wielding troops to the factions? All of their infantry, except the Nords, wield swords.

Copy a part of itemkinds.txt (The part after itm_vhorse_a inclusive)

Then copy and paste all of the Knights mod textures into the LaR texture folder and all of the Knights mod resources into the LaR resources folder.

Then add the resources to the LaR module.ini (e.g. load_mod_resource = tooff)

The lack of updates for the last couple of weeks is simply because i havent been able to get much work done on the mod. I will try to take the time to start working on a new release in the coming weeks though.
I am a bit worried about the upcoming expansion however. I am reluctant to put a lot of work in to new textures in case they would turn out to be incompatible with the graphical updates to horses and surcoats, but i guess we wont know untill the expansion is released.
