anyways, i'm not forcing you to donate, you cheap heartless bastards, you've got the klappvisier, and the viking pack, its free, i made it for you to do whatever you like with.
you can even be complete assholes, and put it into your own games, and say you made it(its happened before).
but if i could get something for doing mods and models for mount and blade, which is fun, i could spend less time doing other freelance work, which is not so much fun.

I prefer freelancing to donations, anything I do for free is free. I feel uneasy accepting money from people who aren't obliged to pay me because if I start slacking off doing free stuff I feel like I've cheated them, and I've seen this financial model used by various people and they often (IMO) don't measure up to the rate of money coming in. I'll take the pressure of a definite dateline over people's vague expectation anytime.
At any rate, I hope you keep doing all these awesome stuff even if you're not releasing it for the public.

i just think it would be cool if this could work like how its done for street musicians.
you play music, people come by, and plop down a dollar.
there's 43 000 people on this forum. if everyone here donated a dollar, i'd have 43 000$.
if that happened, i could create models fulltime for 2 years straight.
and its not just me. i wouldn't mind tipping modelers or modmakers i think make great stuff, to inspire them to work more.
so if you're a modmaker, or a modeler, get a paypal button up, and i'll drop you 1$.
in the end, you'd have a bunch of highly motivated modelers and modders doing great work, AND getting "paid" a healthy sum for it.
and all of the work would still be freely available for everyone to do whatever they wish with, because its not commisioned to one specific person.
anyways, that was my grand vision from the start, but it doesn't seem like its going anywhere.
so i guess i'll make a few models here and there, and release them when they're done.
i prefer seeing my stuff used in as many places as possible, and hopefully being credited for it too, rather than keeping it to myself, or selling it to a single person, or a single group of people.
thats what i've been doing the past 6 years, and its really annoying having my work limited to a single engine with really crappy graphics.

Heh, sorry. What I meant was I hope you keep churning out these stuff regardless of whether or not it's going to be released and whether or not you get paid for it. From your earlier post you sound like you were demotivated, I'm just saying you should keep on doing the things you like doing.
