Do you know the quest when you have to find the king of Gilaes's horse? I've been around every horse merchant and cannot find it. Which one has it?

I think its random. Just keep talking to horse merchants - even if one of them doesn't have it, chances are, he'll tell you which horse merchant does.

ya and remeber kill those dam bandits after the third horse merchant he usually tells you what merchant has it (be ready to hand over 10k) also you got to visit them on foor walkign around the town not using the go to marketplace button

Example: Go to Illoriaon (city) and speak to the horse merchant. He'll say he doesn't have it. Go to a different city and speak to that city's horse merchant. He, also, will say no. Head back to Illoriaon (city) and speak to the merchant again. He'll say he remembers seeing a person with a horse wanting to sell it for a crazy price. He'll tell you the city's name. Go to that city (10,000 Denars in hand) and speak with the horse merchant. Ask him about a special horse, and he'll tell you he does have one. He will ask you the money, pay it, and there you go.

Hope this works for ya

No offense, but didn't you read my post? Alright, pick a city, talk to the merchant, he say no, go to a diff city, go to horse merchant, he say no. Go back to City #1 and ask him about horse. He says he's seen it. Go to the city he tells you to go to, and tada. Aight?

It doesn't always work like that, Mourne. Heck, I got the right merchant on the second town I visited on my first play through the game. Like I said  earlier, the whole thing is somewhat random - if you can't get it to work, just wait a day or two before talking to the same merchant, and in the meanwhile, keep talking to all the others.

I seem to be very unlucky at this mod, because I have done that strategy every time, and it's the same...You must be right, I AM extraordinarily unlucky...

I went the one nearest the Barbarians and he said
go to *name of city* (illorian in this case) and then you have to pay 10,000 denars for it, bu you can also persuade him to go down to 9,999
