I decided in favour of a short game for starters. Average difficulty means that experienced players won't get bored, while noobs won't screw up completely during their one year reign. As i totally lack any imagination, i named our clan Taleworlds.
So... Taleworlds is an overall balanced clan, not favouring weaponthanes to carls or agriculture to mysticism. We have also been
fierce and loyal worshippers of Orlanth which makes us natural leaders and will surely aid us in our forging of a new tribe. Our sworn enemies are wicked trolls and their abhorrent queen Crag Spider. As for dragons - we never really cared much about them. After lengthy journey we've settled in the Dragon Pass on year 1329 claiming vast acreage of land to grow into.
It's Sacred Time, which means that our ring of leaders gathers to councel. We plan our activities for an upcoming year and decide which spheres of clan life to concentrate our clan magic on. As our present leader is a follower of Ernalda, she's a bit paranoid about our foodstocks (actually, i've lost my first three villages to famine, so i'm paranoid too!). Naturally she wants to make sure our crops do well this year, considering that our mystics foresee a probability of a very pour harvest. Our farmers should be healthy to work in the fields. We agreed to allocate some of our magic to harvest and healthcare. Of course, our warleader Tarkalor warned that weaponthanes might be angry if we don't spend some magic on war ritualsa too. Grudgingly we had to comply. Another point of clan magic went to out mystics as they predicted grim future to our clan magic if we didn't learn one of Urox's blessings this year. Two points we left in reserve - you never know when they'll be needed!
Let's look around.
We've got a feud going on with Taralings - our neighbours. While our only allies are quite far from us. I guess it's even better this way - we won't have to travel far on our cattle raids.

Now it's time to look at the heart of the clan - the leaders of the Ring.
While being well versed in traditions and customs of Orlanthi people herself, our leader Natalina felt that we need someone more wise than her in these crucial sphere. Fortunately our clan has such a man - sage Rostandos, who's wisdom is renowned well beyong the boundaries of our tula. He accepted a seat in the Council in place of Rastorlath who's talents with cattle will be more appreciated in the barn. Harsaltar took Bastakos' place as clan's Healer due to his superior skills in magic and knowledge of herbs.
Ernaldinni is another new member of our Ring - she's also a worshipper of Ernalda and surely one of the wisest and most accomplished women in our clan. Unfortunately she's very old, but while she still lives she's a great asset of Talewordlings!
Tarkalor, Dendrev and Temertain remained on the Ring as a warleader, chief mystic and master trader of the clan.
Unfortunately, we don't have a trickster on the Ring... but maybe it's for the best!
Thanks to Ernaldinni's sage advice, we adjusted the volume of our cropfields to match the availability of farmers. Tarkalor, the follower of the Storm Bull, helped us a lot with reassigning pastures for cattle. And just as we were occupied with this little reorganization, a delegation of Anmangarn's thanes stormed into our clanhall.
Well... Hend and Orlmar never got along. But if we don't want to offend Anmagarni we should pay a wergild. Harlastar and Ernaldinni advice against it - 30 cows can feed as much as 4 families, while Tarkalor is sure that we can withstand their vengeance if need arises. Although our clan leader is reluctant to arise tention between our clans. Shrewd Rostandos advices that we should pay, but less than that - the boy wasn't worth 30 cows, plus Orlmar was wounded in the accident too. Temertain agrees and promises to settle the deal. He had a long talk with Anmagarni and they left with only 10 cows of ours. Let's assume it to be the first diplomatic victory of our clan.
Soon Fire season is upon us. Time of brandishing weapons and resolving old grudges. Tarkalor urges us to train more weaponthanes and wage war on our sworn enemies the Taralingi. While other leaders agree that we need more swordarms to protect our cattle, the Council decides in favour of increasing patrols and building primary defences. This activities were probably noticed by the neighbouring clans. The Kardarvi offered our new weaponthanes to test their mettle in a raid against Vanstatchi. Although our warriors are eager, we decided to send only a token force in order not to steal the Kardarvi's thunder. The raid was a success and our young thanes returned with their eyes shining with pride and their hands - with looted silver.
The Eath season is traditionally the time of peace. Carls reap the harvest and are unwilling to do battle.
We decided to sacrifice to Urox to gain his blessing. Looking into the steaming blood of ten slaughtered cows our mystics declare that Urox was pleased by the sacrifice. He blessed our godtalkers with the better ability to discern Chaos - to activate it we only need to build a corresponding shrine. But our leaders think that it's not the right time yet. Instead we sacrificed to plower-god Barntar and built a shrine for him. Smiled upon by Barntar, our farmers were blessed with unmatched vigour during their work in the fields. Our next harvests are bound to be bountiful.
In the process of erecting a new shrine our carls were confronted by three powerful strangers, obviously warriors of great renown. Did i say warriors? !Flying! warriors they were! They appeared to be Orlanths' windlords - the holy warriors of our patron god. Apparently they seeked help in their holy quest. All our clansmen were willing to help them (especially women and not out of sheer piety too).
We gave them all the leftover clan magic and grateful windlords were gone with the wind the next day.
In the meanwhile, the harvest appeared to be really poor, despite all our endeavours to prevent it. Ernaldinni and other women of the clan worry that we won't have enough food for the upcoming year.
As the Dark season fell upon us with all its snowstorms and blizzards, we shut the doors of our homesteads and grimly waited for the Storm season to come. Our enemies Taralings sure had more food than us and that was very unfair. Even the peaceful Ernaldinni agreed that we should recruit a few more thanes and start raiding next year - the clan must not starve!
In the meantime, a few frostbitten Humakti undead-hunters approached our tula. They claimed to be on an undead-slaying quest and demanded that we gave them permission to range about our tula. Our leaders were so kind as to even promise some reward if Humakti could find any undead in our forests.
Taleworldi clansmen were shocked to realize just how haunted our tula was. We carried out our promise and rewarded Humakti - these warriors are not to be trifled with.
At last the Storm season came. We mustered our weaponthanes and able-bodied carls, leaving only token protection in our tula, and set off to our hated neighbours - Taralings. In our first raid we were aided by our allies - Vostangi. We approached the Taralingi tula only to find out that the wretches have been waiting on us. Taralings charged, shields clashed and in a few moments the charge was over. Offir, our young warrior, and his kinsmen who happened to be in the front line, managed to stand fast and stopped the enemy's initial charge. Offir found himself heavily wounded but being a Humakti death-warrior he was ready and eager to embrace death on the battlefiled. He rallied the closest Taleworldi and counter-charged.
Seeing as Offir fell under Taralingi swords, our warriors weeped, screamed of rage, gnawed their shields and some fell into blood-frenzy.
Young thane was avenged as Taralingi warriors were being slaughtered without any mercy. Our losses were heavy too, but we managed to pillage their tula before turning back.
As our warriors returned, they found out that cunning Taralingi have sent a small warparty to steal our cattle while our main forces were away. Thanks to the wisdom of our leaders, we were prepaired and drove them off promptly without taking any casualties.
People were glad to hear that we managed to capture five excellent steeds from the attackers.
Tarkalor boasted that after the blow we dealt to Taralingi they are no longer the strongest clan in the Dragon Pass as they claimed to be before.
Despite all the nasty omens this wasn't a bad year for us...
let's keep it going:
