King Helm

Not sure if this has been brought up!

I was just wondering if there is a way to get a helmet like the king of fance, when you become king that is? Is there some way to get ahold of it or is there a way to buy the helmet? Just looks super badass an i feel my kingly head deserves one... even if i have to take it.

Take it off the head of one of the kings then!  Sorry I'll make it available for purchase soon but for now loot is the only way to get it, however, your chance is very tiny.

I remember a mod from pre-Warband that allowed a blacksmith or something to make the player a crown when he became a king. Perhaps just add one to our inventory when we start our own kingdom? Making it available to buy from a merchant seems kinda lame as it'll not longer have the significance of a king only crown.

It's just that crown that the kings wear. Which in reality wasn't all too protective and they didn't wear them in combat, if you want to get technical. Perhaps just make it part of their wardrobe that they wear for feasts and in the castles? Then give them an actual helmet for fighting.

It's your regular bucket with a crown round the top.  I like it the way it is, makes them stand out in the crowd as they slaughter your peasants.

It also makes them a target for you to focus on so they can do as little damage to your army as possible, or so you can see them coming. Which is why I don't like it all too much, it makes it too easy for the player to find their strongest fighter and take him out.

On the contrary many different types of helmets ( for example Norman and great helmets ) were manufactured with added crowns and were used in battle.

I see, well in that situation it could be used. However the crowns currently in this game do not fulfill that purpose.

What purpose?  As far as I'm concerned it's doing a great job sitting on top of a faction's leader head.  I don't have any special purpose for it other than what it's doing right now.

the ones they have is a regular great helm with a crown built in...  its super cool looking     but ya make it rly expensive or let it apear when you become a king or somthing of that sort... an since its a loot ima be head hunting for a bit to see if i cant get it to drop!!  Thanks for the responce i hope becomes a little easier even if a bit pricey to have it
