Killing a Kingdom

OK, this is going to be a newb question because I never did it/saw it in original M&B, but what happens when you wipe out another kingdom?

On my map I'm poised to assault Rivacheg, the last place the Vaegirs have. What happens to their king? And although the Vaegirs are ethnically a separate people, will they become loyal to the Nords? Can they re-spawn (like in Medieval II)? How do a conquered people behave for the rest of the game?

Thanks.

If I recall correctly, in the original Mount and Blade they would simply disappear afterwards. I think, however, since the vassal system is a bit different in Warband then they would likely disperse into different factions. I could be wrong though.

I noticed some join other factions. I'm not sure if everyone joins or what happens with the king though. I assume the king disappears.

In vanilla M&B the lords went into the dark, but they came back every once in a while to join other factions. The kings disappeared, though.

You better count on it that he will, it's best to try and start up war again and finish them off rather then let them be a thorn in your side forever.

And thats why you should start your own kingdom. I would definitly take the relationship hit and start that war back up, problem is your in truce at the moment and i doubt the king and his vassels will attack you for several weeks because they have to rebuild their armys.

When you finish off an enemy (every army, caravan, castle, town) you get a message that their faction has been destroyed. Within a week or so their lords will start joining other kingdoms. It takes a while for them all to switch, though..a long while. I had thought all the Nords had switched by day 300, but shortly after two more lords switched to Swadia and the Rhodoks. I think there may be more to come. It was like this in old M&B too, but the difference is (it seems) that now most of the newly swapped lords will be indicted for treason at some point down the line. Most of the nord lords in my game have been through two or three factions by now, except my buddy Boyar Harald.

Hey! Boyar Harald ain't Nord!

It Jarl Harald if u start a new game

When they change kingomd, they also change the first name, depending on the kingomd they join

i like how in your own kingdom everyone is a lord or lady if you have female companions. The best of all titles i think.

So I've nearly defeated the Nords as a Vaeger Vassel. I was thinking of starting my own kingdom after they are defeated. Most of them absolutely adore me because I've captured and realeased them all so much  So the question is, when their faction is gone and they start integrating into the remaining factions, will any of them join my new faction?

Probably, a thing I have noticed when I made my own faction was that even a high relationship friend of mine wouldn't join because my faction was small and I wouldn't be able to help him in battle (according to him).
