Well the Khuzait have steamrolled every other faction in all my games so far. Often was the case in Warband too, so I guess nothing has changed. The only one that can stand up to them is the Player Kingdom of Cheese.

Other racial rewards are rubbish, infantry and walking archers are city war toys. CAVALRY supreme.

I did it but I had to restart as another faction, they just destroy anything they meet, an entire party of horse archers is super cool I must say, but too OP.

Same for me was my first campaign, just the Buccelaari Imperial Horse Archers (because best Availability) and a few Banner Knights became boring quickly.

Apparently you missed the whole part of the movie where he's in the yurt with Mongol type peoples(and a few others) saying the "crush your enemies" line. That and two of his sidekicks are reminiscent of Mongol type characters of the steppe.
