Khuzait Nomad

I have looked at the 1.5.5 changes for khuzaits but khuzait will still suck with those changes. Please give the Khan's Guard Glaive to the Nomad. At least that way khuzaits will have a chance in sieges.

Not sure if you read it thoroughly, but nomad is getting the long spear as default and a lance as a perk(at the same row as the shield). They're getting rid of the absolutely useless cavalry mace and replacing it with improved armor, also their base armor is getting improved by +4, their on foot movement speed is getting a beefy buff too.
It seems like they listened to my post for balancing Khuzait especially for the cav and I thank them for that.
IMO nomad will be the best light cav with these changes, as it's supposed to.

You know long spear does **** all when it comes to sieges. They need a cheaper 2h like any other factions. Low armor and weak cav would balance the glaive that is given to them.

A glaive on a light horse would make it VERY op and we don't want to see that. These changes are perfect for skirmish and I suppose for siege and tdm as well.
Glaive on horseback is just stupidly overpowered and needs a heavy nerf. Until a nerf comes it shouldnt be added to other units, hell it should be removed completely even.

Glaive the nomad, that's a strange idea. The nomad is not shock cavalry, and not even light cavalry; rather, the nomad should be a weaker version of the horse archer. Because the cavalry of the Mongols is primarily archers.

Ok suggest something that will make people wanna play khuzait. Every faction has a cheap 2h inf in their roster. When it comes to whether tdm or sieges in situations like 30vs30 up to 60vs60 only 2h makes difference. You can easily beat 1h(shield or no shield) with quick left, right, overhead feints and especially with overhead swings in any 2vs1 or 3vs1 situations. If they are not going to nerf 2h weapons they have to make something for the Khuzaits and that is only reason why i am suggesting this stuff. Maybe they can make Khan's Guard unit cheaper like say 140 coins so it won't be as much as punishing when you lose the unit.

Glaives for nomads would be way to over powered when it comes skirmish and captain. They shouldn't balance the factions based on tdm and siege.

Stronger Nomad = Stronger Khuzaits = More Balanced Game

-plus I really like that Taleworlds went in the direction of buffing light cav -it adds variety to the game and makes the Khuzait faction much more unique. It's a sound decision both balance and playstyle/aesthetics-wise.

I'm eager to see how Khuzait will play in Skirmish Mode.

Do Khuzaits underperform in Siege Mode? Sure.

Is the answer giving them easy access to an objectively broken and OP weapon? A resounding no.

Trying to fix an issue by handing out broken/OP equipment en masse doesn't solve the problem, it only perpetuates the balance issues Bannerlord is currently grappling with.

Khuzait's weakness in siege is that their infantry lacks the elan of other factions' infantry (which is perfectly normal considering faction design, balance, and lore).

That being said, the Khuzaits also have a number of things going in their favor which many tend to overlook:

-Their Spear Infantry class has a nice throwing weapon, a good shield, a great 1h sword, and at 130 gold they're rather cost-effective compared to every else's 160 gold heavy inf line
-Khuzait archer classes perform very well
-Khuzait, being a cavalry-centric faction, have the ability to quickrush/blitzkrieg early flags (A, B) with their cavalry when attacking, and sally out at the start as defenders in order to break the attackers' siege equipment. Plus, any part of the map that is flat or has access to cavalry (even inside the walls) can be subject to a Khuzait horse stampede at any time

I think the biggest issue with Khuzait in Siege Mode is that many players simply don't wish to play as them. When the Khuzaits pop up as one of the factions, I see players either leave the server or spam left click for the other team during selection. When the match actually plays out, Khuzaits many times perform rather well.

The only time I ever see Khuzait get completely blown out (as either attackers or defenders) is when they face Empire, and that is because of menavlions (but that is a topic for another day).

I suggest to everyone concerned about Khuzaits in Siege to just wait and see how these new improvements to Nomad will play out, you may be surprised. I predict Nomad rushes in Siege will be a viable tactic and one we see more frequently. The added armor and equipment to light cav will improve their overall performance and make the balance between the factions much more copacetic.

If anything glaives and menavlions on horseback need removed until they fix the absolutely wonky as **** animations and hitboxes and damage radius.

I know, they're such a mess right now. We've seen nerfs to kicks, throwables, cav archers, shield hp, horse armor, couch lancing, weapons stats, armor ratings, movement speeds, and unit costs, but for some reason no one wants to touch menav/glaive cav.

I'm in support to all the above mentioned nerfs and changes because it made the game more balanced and enjoyable for all.

Pre-1.5 patch, one of my favorite weapons was the Voulge. It was an absolute buzzsaw and it made anyone near-indomitable in melee. I enjoyed using it tremendously, but I also had the self-awareness to understand the weapon was way too OP and broken. So when 1.5 patch rolled around and they lowered the speed, damage, and fixed the chain-attack animation, I was ok with the changes, because once again, I had the objectivity to realize the weapon was in a bad place before and is much more balanced now.

I just don't understand when people shill in support for broken mechanics/weapons/items they know are objectively unbalanced and game-breaking. I feel they're only doing this because it benefits them and thus it's tantamount to nothing short of gatekeeping. If anything, all this does is impede the progress of Bannerlord becoming a more enjoyable product -which at the rate its losing players, needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Why do people even bringing up skirmish, lol only 30 or so people playing that mode. I only suggested this for siege and tdm. If menav cav exist so can glaive nomad, get triggered.

come on dude i can still be a on the top of list with voulge and menav what are you even talking about? Try overhead swings sometime.

Absolutely. Your insane if you think giving another troop in the game a polearm is gonna fix the balance. The fact that the nomad can have a lance now is an incredible improvement as is. All light cavalry should have the lance option to make up for their **** armor.

The fact that Empire faction has three different units, including the courser, with access to menavlions is not a good thing. It's the dev's mistake in making such a piss poor decision in the first place.

TDM and siege are not anymore popular than skirmish. In tdm I know I have had 70+ kill games with the Lancer with glaive because it is simply overpowered. The Nomad with a glaive would be just as good at a much cheaper price allowing for more spam of the most over powered combination (horse and glaive).

Um, what are you talking about?

The whole point of my example was when changes/nerfs happen to objectively broken weapons and mechanics it should be accepted and celebrated, rather than making it a hill people die upon to try and keep the broken unbalanced stuff in the game.

The funny thing is, when I was referring to people shilling in favor of menav/glaives, kicks, unbalanced archery/cav etc., I wasn't even talking about you -at all. But considering your knee-jerk reaction to my very benign post, should I add you to that list?
