SP - General Keeping your weapons in a Lord's hall

It varied with period and culture, but generally it was expected that a nobleman wear a sword as part of his dress. I'd be surprised if nobles weren't allowed to wear a sword in another noble's hall, in a classic medieval context. Although, I've encountered mention of some northern cultures (for example) requiring everyone to leave their weapons at the door. But in this type of great hall, the door would be visible from the table, not be in another room. Also, the host would follow this rule as well.
