The mod is super epic, though it has its bugs.  But keep up the good work.  I appreciate the time and effort you invest into this for us.  The form of the mod is already chiseled out.  All that remains is smoothing over the details.  Then it's done.  And when it's done, it will be a grand master piece!  I'd say up at the top with Mozart, Leo Tolstoy, and Michelangelo.

Yeah, thanks for all the hard work. And to be diving back into it so fast after all the work of .34-35 must be rough. Thanks for sticking with us and taking the time to iron out all the small details. Most of us are very grateful!

Too many bugs. Like a guy in the bug thread said, you wait for the next release, only to wait again for the next release. This was basically the bug-fix version and it's pulled a day after it's released. I know they don't get paid to do this or anything, but you would think this should still be in a pre 1.0 release version with the amount of bugs every version has. You don't need different heights and other stuff, you need spears that have models that accurately represent their length.

You can complain all you want, but you can't ignore the fact that it is so very hard to polish out a mod with so many various features. And compared to other mods this is the best mod, period, in terms of sheer number of authentic GP features.

It's okay.  Let him complain.  Brytenwalda is for real men and real warriors.  Snivelers end up doing the peasant work.

It's not about polish, it's about game breaking bugs. You don't keep adding stuff before you make whatever came before it stable. Cart before the horse is the problem with this mod. It should be thoroughly community beta tested and bugfixed before releasing a new version. If you're gonna make the game so spear heavy, at least get the length and models right.

Yeah, except the reality that 1.34 was unplayable and 1.35 was pulled a day after it dropped. If you wanna be a fanboi that's your business, but facts are funny things.

Well, as they say in the Europa Barbarorum forums, if you're not willing to help or learn how to help, you've no right to complain.  Write it down on a piece of paper if you want to.  Very disrespectful doing it on a public forum.  My business in saying what I did was this is how you made me feel.

I somewhat agree with this, the problem is each time a new version comes out and promises to fix past bugs new content has been added which is far too unstable. The work that has been put into Brytenwalda is commendable, but I feel they try to do too much too quickly. I don't want the option to be tall or short because quite frankly in a game like this it looks ridiculous, I just want to be able to enjoy the principles of the game layed out in native with some pleasing improvements in an historical setting I love.

I was a beta-tester myself and even I think they should just let the community test it, it would be quicker and more efficient.

Cool.  But you're not the artist.  If you were the artist, then you probably would do those things.  You're just a gamer who gets to play what the artist makes.  If you no longer liked the art, then you'd just move on.  Sure, maybe the artist needs someone to say: "Hey, steady your hand a bit.  Slow down some."  But to tell the artist you don't like his painting the way it is, quite frankly, is completely blatant and disrespectful.  You shouldn't play this game.  You simply don't deserve to.  That's my view.  I'm not sorry if you don't like it.

EB was one of the most thoroughly tested mods like ever. It's a completely inane argument, they won't even release a beta of EB2 because they want it perfect before release (which will never come) Foot and some of the other members can also be giant knobs, so using their behavior as an example is also pretty hilarious. If you release a mod on a public forum you are going to be criticized for faults. Fanbois shouting down people doesn't help, there is too much praise around here and not enough "hey guys, I just wasted a lot of time on the version that was supposed to fix stuff".

This mod is a very noble effort, but for all it tries to do, there is a great deal of sloppiness and a rush to keep adding new things without fixing broken stuff.

You're not the mother of this mod and it doesn't need you hectoring people about how they have no right to criticize, your logic also makes 0 sense.

Well, Collohan, figure out a way to complain constructively.  If you are familiar with EB (as you claim to be), you would have picked up on that by now.

Criticism is welcome. We can take it - so direct it at the developers, not each other
Let's keep conversation constructive, without personal outbursts.

Sorry to be rude, but someone has to champion this guy.  He deserves it.  He's earned that right.  Many hours, many days, many months of hard work, to have someone say what you did.  How inconsiderate.  So what.  You were a beta-tester.  That doesn't give you a degree.  I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just don't think you've earned the right to complain blatantly yet.  You have to earn that.  Being a beta-tester doesn't earn you that.

Sorry.  I'm not angry at all, just trying to make a point.  Keep up the good work guys   There are two mods I play consistently.  This one and EB for Rome Total War.  EB I've played for more years than I can count.  Brytenwalda is gaining time now too!

You need to go hit the books and figure out what "rights" are. If you want to build a 12 foot granite statue of Idibil in your front yard, you have that right (consult your local zoning dept); you even have the right to say that other people don't have the right to criticize this mod, but that doesn't make you right.
