You gotta be joking. It's ancient. Google doesn't even look like that anymore.
No offence.
BTW. There were others like that. I remember typing something took you to a picture of Bush.

what's up with all the french bashing? they had numerous great victories throughout history.

french losing everything, is just typical american idiocy because they are angry the french opose Iraq, just like calling your fries liberty fries, really it is not even the slightest bit funny

i have. but it's just funny
hey remember the thread where i said the french owe me an apolagy for concering my country....

That is quite old.
Googling "miserable failure" takes you to the Bush Jr. biography.
Yes, typical american idiocy... written by a non-american.
They ~!*were*!~ called freedom fries... in like the pentagon cafeteria... as a joke... for about a month.
Napoleon was Corsican, not French (though he did lead them, read the freaking article at least).

Frances ****ty military record is largely to blame on their geography, simply all half of europe has to do to invade France is to make one step over the border.

The fact is still there tho, French do make lousy soldiers.

French only win the revolution because both sides are frogs, and these frogs only won the revolution because they ARRIVED LATE, by the time america is winning

Charles Martel doesn't ring a bell to annyone?

Not to me. Could you inform me? With only three or so sentences?

Wikipedia said:
Charles Martel was born in Herstal, in what is now Wallonia, Belgium, the illegitimate son of Pippin the Middle (635 or 640 - December 16, 714) and his concubine Alpaida or Chalpaida. Martel achieved lasting greatness by inspiring his Franks to do what was thought to be impossible [winning the Battle of Tours]. Martel has a unique place in history as the savior of Europe, and the only man to ever manage such a victory between such disparate forces.

If you are feeling up to the challenge of reading more, check out the Battle article.

how, for the love of god, can you play a game with a medieval setting, and be on it's message boards without knowing Charles Martel?

I miss that about TWC we could all learn and discuss so much history with eachother, I learned so much there, and bought so many books to educate myself from visiting those boards, too bad about that random banning crisis, and the voluntary exile of so many including me

they even had a debate forum with debate teams concerning the matters of evolution vs creationism.

Yeah, my brother was with the leaders (or something like that) of the attheist team. But he got banned as well. Or suspended. Or he just left. Whatever.

Temujin, you don't have to show them military leaders from so far past (I admit, very important)
All the Americans should recall one name - La Fayette for army and de Grasse for Navy.
Without them they still would be hailing "God save the Quinn!"
That's called short memory and ungratefullness.

indeed, here's a little reminder for the americans with amnesia:
Marie-Joseph-Paul-Roch-Yves-Gilbert du Motier, marquis de La Fayette (September 6, 1757–May 20, 1834), was a French aristocrat most famous for his participation in the American Revolutionary War and early French Revolution. La Fayette is considered a national hero in both France and the United States and is one of only six people in history to become an Honorary U.S. Citizen.
