Hello there, I recently just bought the game and I have issues with the game crashing at almost every instance of the game. It crashes starting up, it crashes loading saves, it crashes on the campaign map, in battles, in the prisoner screen, in cities, talking to people, and at loading screens. I've noticed there are plenty of issues due to crashing for this game, but does everyone else only play 3-4minutes at a time before it crashes like I am? Am I missing something about this game that is needed to run smoothly?

I run a desktop with gt1070 32GB ram and an I9 9900K processor which should be more than enough.

Some things I have tried that were posted online:
Graphics on very low, shadow tracing off
game is run in windowed mode.

If anyone has any answers, they are greatly appreciated!

EDIT: thanks for catching the typo, yeah meant 32GB

I assume you mean 32GB RAM.

It has to be something else running on your system. I'm on a desktop, i7, 32GB RAM and GTX 1070. Runs extremely well with no crashes right now. Only had a couple of crashes early on with known bugs (which are fixed now). I have over 125 hours in - still running great.

I run with max settings, full screen mode. This is what GeForce Experience shows for my setup:

Head into Windows Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> Application and look for the crash events in there. They'll tell you which file or process is causing the issue. Paste relevant events in here. Could be that the game isn't the root cause (video driver crash for eg). It's not happening for 99.9% of people so something on your rig is different.

ok so I have 3 main crashes for the game that i've looked through.
Crash 1 APP name: TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher.exe, version 1.0.0.0, time stamp 0xe99ef09
faulting module name clr.dll, version 4.8.4121.0, time stamp 0x5deabd50
Crash 2 APP name: TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher.exe
Description: The process was terminated due to an internal error in the .NET runtime at IP 00007FF8C974F189 with exit code 80131506
And CRASH 3 is error 1023(0xfffffc01) occurred while opening logfile C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\local\tiledatalayer\database\EDB.log.

I am currently looking up troubleshooting for the errors now, but at first glance idk what any of this means lol

clr.dll is a .NET dll. It could be corrupted, leading to:

Crash 2 APP name: TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher.exe

.NET crashing. Try:

- Running "sfc /scannow" from an elevated command prompt.
- Reinstalling .NET framework.

See how that goes.

I was the dummy typing in mfc scannow in cmd lol. As for the .Net framework, I've used the repair tool and i'm still getting rgl.dll and clr.dll errors. I am not sure I know how to properly uninstall a.NET framework lol which is why i've only used the repair tool.

It used to be in Programs & Features along with everything else you've got installed, but it looks like Microsoft rolled it into Windows at some point not too long ago.

If sfc /scannow didn't fix, you can try disabling it by going to Add or Remove Programs -> scroll to bottom and click Programs and Features. A window will pop up with all the programs you have installed; on the left side go to "Turn Windows features on or off". Click that, and then untick all the .NET stuff and reboot. Then go back into it again, tick them and reboot again.

If that doesn't fix, format drive and reinstall Windows .
