First off I've played the mod for a little while now and I have to say, great job.
Take your well deserved rest and I think we all look forward to the next version.

As for my question, I enabled the cheat mode and played around with some towns to simulate some more time progress.
So except for the starting kingdom there are now 2 more on the map.
I just noticed however that Charfield upgraded to e2m2 and then evolved into the Khergit Khanate (Rp wise I love this one.).

Is that supposed to happen? Or is the bandit faction supposed to remain?

It's supposed to happen.

Bandit and Peasant settlements will form their own kingdoms when they reach e2m2 and have a lord/lady.  I'm planning to make which kingdoms come out of it less random and more to do with what it came from and who their lord/lady is, and the terrain.  Though that will probably wait until I give factions traits and start adding tons more.

Ah ok, good to know. As far as I knew it was only peasant settlements. I was afraid it might screw with the bandits in the game.
Well, I'm looking forward to those new factions then, it would be great if the faction that developed depended on the lord/lady and area involved.

Someone might have asked this already (probably a million times) but are you planning any more buildable expansions to settlements?
Maybe it would be nice if the tavern was something you had too build separately or a watchtower which you need to organize patrols.
Just random thoughts on the subject.

Anyway, take your time.

The current plans for new building options are Upgradeable Buildings and Special Buildings.  Upgradeable buildings will be things like upgrading your Tavern into a Townhall or Thieves Den, or upgrading your Castle into a Palace, though these will likely only be indoor improvements that don't change the outside appearance.  Special Buildings will be an extra upgrade for the settlement after they've reached e2m2, each settlement would have unique options for this, like Custow might have the option to either build a Church or an Arena, which would show up in the exterior scenes and have interiors and special functionality.

Oh, nice ! Yes, thats exactly what I was talking about.
Its things like this that keep your game interesting, keeping on improving, building and struggling. Alot of games miss it nowadays.
