I've just started playing, and have a few suggestions which I'm keeping to myself until I know the game better. However, one thing sticks out as "obvious" to me and I'd like to know if it's intentional.
When my character (or his horse) jumps, it's slow. Is this related to Athletics or Riding skill? I'm running or riding at speed and there's a fence ahead...so I jump, and suddenly feel like I'm floating. When I land, eventually, I continue travelling at my previous fast rate. Only during the jump itself the slowdown occurs.
Walking, running, and riding are well-implemented in this game, which is why the jumping thing feels so surprising. I'd prefer to see jumping implemented in a similar way to other in-game movement (based on some model of physics), but perhaps this is intentional? Maybe for game balance, or for dramatic effect, or something?
Anyway, I'm interested in whether others think this is a valid thing to look at, and I didn't see mention of it anywhere else in the forums.
