The daughter secretly filmed herself when she was certain the her father was going to beat her or that her father was in such a mood that a beating was certain to happen. The daughter then used the evidence to bargin with her father for four years, then the father threatened her and stated that he didn't care about the consequences of the video evidence, and that his actions were justified as discipline. So then the daughter released the video and now there is outcry against the judge.

Not that that really justifies it.
One, if you spank a child when you are angry, you are more likely to inflict more physical damage and mental trauma than intended.
Two, in my opinion, nothing under a serious criminal offence could justify using any implement that produces welts or bruising that will last for more than a couple of days.
Three, I would also be highly disturbed if my child was so badly behaved that I had to spank them at 16.

No, he beat the everloving **** out of her for pirating a few songs. She planted the camera in her room so she could expose the abusive bastard.

Just to be clear... the Judge handled child abuse cases. (The irony...) The daughter... who has cerebral palsy... was against his treatment of these cases. He was/is horribly biased against the children involved, and said that the only thing that could prove them right was video evidence, not the childs own testimony. So, the daughter set up this camera, so the next time she was beaten, it would be "video evidence". A giant middle finger to the mother and father.

And... she had installed a video game against her fathers wishes... or without him even knowing (one of the two), and thats what started the fight.

So like... have schools no responsibility or vigilance anymore? This should have been spotted and fixed a few years back, instead of it going this far.
On the other hand its extremely good that she published good hard fast evidence.

This is pretty much it essentially. She posted the video after 7 years because he was threatening to take her car away. She is living on her own now.

The father was also beating the **** out of her mother too. He might not be charged but she effectively ruined his career

Well, your society might not be formed like that, but one major part of a schools job is to spot such cases and follow up them.
