Jousting/crouched attack

I love this game so far but I am in need of some help.  I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, forgive me if it is not.  It seems like
there is some sort of area around the spear point that the game registers as a hit.  If the target is within this zone, its a hit.  In my mind it

looks like this /\.  Is there something or somehow to make that impact zone larger?  Something like this  /  \  I ask because im old and slow

Collision detection for weapons like the couched lance would be hard if not totally impossible to mess with as far as I know.

for easy jousting maybe a balanced heavy lance would work wonders but for foot fighting id recommend a poleaxe or even a glaive

Grab a Jousting Lance. Have fun stabbing people from about 20 feet away.

ragnarokk, I don't think there is a way to change the behaviour of the couched lance (the modding community would surely have found a way if there was one). I think your best chance of improving your success with it is to ride your horse a bit slower- this will give you more time to react and your horse will be able to turn faster to get back toward your target. You don't have to be going full speed to do a lot of damage with the couched lance.
