and the sea battle happens

do i have to flee

or there is a chance for victory and saving the commander ?

No chance, I believe. Even if you fight and manage to win, the game just proceeds as though you fled.

if you follow the story at that point you have about a thousand warriors travelling in the sea. About half are with Sven, half with your side.

Then your side decides to do a *secret meeting* with only the captains. And you get ambushed. So it would be like 500 warriors attacking less than 50 on your side.

Yeah better run and fast

You can win the fight if you come packing 300 elite units and luck out hard enough, but it doesn't matter.

by the time you formed a 300 elite army your mother is dead, only bones are left and you have already failed your personal quest 

course you can do that if you are a bastard evil son that wants to ignore the story
