Join raiders and loot towns

I saw that in one of the future versions the bandit/raider type faction would be getting a base. It would be great if you could choose to join them instead of the vaegirs or swadians.

Related to this would be the ability to raid towns. Just a castle layout for a map and whatever that base has garrisoned for defense. You could join the bandits and raid any town or join one of the existing factions and raid the enemy village. Perhaps make it optional if you want to raid or sneak into a village. It is nice being able to stop anywhere and I wouldn't want to take that away, but it is sort of unrealistic that you can slaughter an army and then just wander into their town and go about your business. Having the sneak option fixes takes care of that as you would sneak in to town to do business or just attack it and take some loot.

ps. fantastic game

Hmm, should I also make FPS (Frequiently Proposed Suggestions) an addition to FAQ, so people will not post them like 4th time already? :)
Not to stifle their creativity, God forbid, but just to save them time... and to show Armagan what features people want the most. :)
What do you think about this idea?

It would be neat to ride through town, be able to break into houses and loot stuff, then burn the houses down.
You wanted accuracy, after all :P

Tat whould rwoxxerz meh boxxerz!

Though wouldn't it be awsome to go plunder a town? Maybe have like the city garrison at 40 or so and have it like where all there people come out and attack, not like 7 outa 40 of em do. Would make it hard no?

Yeah. you'd have to have a whole assboat of troops backing you up, which makes sense. And afterwards, you can either enslave or conscript the folks you've captured.

A castle-assault/defence section wouldn't really be that hard to implement, as far as I can see. And it would definitely be a thrill - having a massive group of footmen charging up walls (horses would be useless) and wiping the enemy aside.

I think seeing the different ways people like to see different ideas implemented is just as good as the original suggestion. A FPS would be helpful though for sure.

I agree that there should be a bandit faction, i think there might be as there is a bandit hideout in one of the corners of the world map. Hopefully, as i would love to go round sayin 'Oi, you. Let those prisoners free or else, and ahhhh give me your loot too'. I think it would be a cool addition.

but also realise, it's only a .6beta at the moment :).

We couldn't have a "pillage the village woman" mode for male charachters and a "castration mode" for female charachters. although a genral torture mode would be fun. you could use it to find out trade routs, patrol plans etc

Of course in town fighting would be good, we already have the indoors fighting in the training room, so it could be implemented.

The towns themselves would need a number of high level mercenaries/heroes (there are three in zendar tavern, and I assume some would be in every town), several caravan guards, and the few people in the tavern waiting to be hired, and about a hundred farmers and peasant women.

The castles would have every level of troop, from sharpshooter, guard, and knight down to peasants, plus the count/king and their retainers. But the town and castle wouldn't need to be the same battle, the castle may be some ways outside of the town.

oh...that would be great!...being a khergit raider for example...great!.
not just for loot and pillage towns but farms...
maybe it could be selected from the start:

1)Etnic origin: (Swadian, Vaegir, khergit, Barbarian(viking), Highlander(mountains barbarian), etc) giving you face restrictions (color of skin etc) and diferent predetermined diplomatic relations with each side.
and
2)Profession: hunter, merchant, mercenary, breeder, noble, soldier, etc. wich determines not just your starting equipment and skill but your start point.

the khergit and nomad civilians (not just bandits) should have some NOMAD CAMPS (better with movile localization as nomad does) in the steppe.
to interact with them for hiring nomad horsearchers for example, or buying steppe horses, nomad equipment etc, or do missions for them.
because if vaegirs are seminomadic people (they use to have nomad equipment) where are the nomad vaegir people??

maybe this have been sugested already, but i didn't found it...
