About a week ago, I was playing Mount and Blade, a axe-thrower, jaelin, and jarid user. I threw a jarid at a charging aegir Knight and it only did 5 damage... strange?

Definately strange to me, i cant recall that happening, jarids should make at least 10+ damage to any highly armored opponent no matter how low level/skilled you are.

What does that matter Scamp? My point is, no matter how weak you are, een if your power throw is 1, a charging Knight getting something thrown at him, even a jhavelin or a rock, will cause some intense pain and/or injury.

I tohught you meant throwing it while on horseback, sorry if I sounded mean, I didn't mean to. But yeah, your right. I am not sure if I have ever gotten a speed bonus while on foot and throwing something... I might have.

That's definately weird, even if you hit him in the pinky toe. I've never had anything like that happen to me.

It's fine Scamp,
But seriously, was it jsut a fluke of the game? Or was it jsut crappy throwing? It's all wierd!

No its just the factor's of plate armor , i have a character who does throwing ONLY and that happen's to me quite often against heavily armored units such as Dark knights or Knights.

I use Javalins , throwing axes , throwing knives and jarids

How in the hell can a javelin through the skull hurt less? Oh yeah the brain has no pain nerves. I only like getting stoned hippy style.

I personally prefer archery. Point blank stunlock is easier with that. You can use shields with throwing though.

I think you do get some form of speed bonus against cavalry charging towards you though.

While sidestepping a charging knight and then slashing him with my 2Her, I killed him with one swipe, doing 80 damage or so. On foot, I do 40-50 with one slash. Not sure if this works for missiles too.
