My videocard is an ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5680 updated through Windows Automatic Update.

Any time I run a java game (minecraft or project zomboid), I get this error:

Have you tried completely removing java and reinstalling the latest version?

If it runs every other game its most likely just java is broken/missing something.

How many monitors do you have? I've had similar problems before while having two going (on separate gfx cards though). Always had to go to display properties and disable the secondary monitor while launching the game.
