Jackie Chan is basically my hero. I've watched his movie's from a fairly young age ( I saw rumble in the Bronx in theaters when I was 7), and I still watch them now. While I like his newer movies (Shanghai noon, rush hour etc..), his Golden Harvest/ Hong Kong cinema days will never be topped.

Anywho, I figured that I'd make this thread for general discussion about Jackie's films and even his music (yes, he does sing) since he's just so bad ass.

Discuss!

I love the way he fights in most of his newer (and some older) films, ie running away while simultaneously whooping ass, but I've been watching some of his older movies (from the 80's) and came across a particularly good fight scene on youtube from the film "Wheels on Meals"

actually, I'd say it's one of his best, if not THE best fight scene he's ever done. It's definitely my favourite.

Awesome guy, funny and can really kick ass. Also, in his interviews I've seen, he's sounds really nice and not up his own ass.

Quoted for truth.  I used to watch the Jackie Chan cartoon show when I was younger, like 10 or so.  Was a ****ing messed up cartoon.

I think he was really awesome, Drunken master is pure genius, but he should just end his career now. It's getting sad seeing him suck in Rush Hour 3..and that commedy movie they're making with Jet Li will kill them both..

He is a ****ing genius. I really love everything he has done. Check out Jackie Chan's "who am I" - has some amazing fighting scenes.

Yes, Jackie Chan is pure awesome. I especially love all the fight scenes in "The Drunken Master." All of the fighting moves in that movie were really cool. I especially like the part where he stands on his hands and starts attacking with his feet.

I agree. Chan's greatest was in the 1980s and early 1990s. I had the privilege of growing up in Asia, the advantage being, you get to see HK films on TV most of the time with bad English dubs and subtitles in the local language. My very first Jackie Chan movie was Project A part II and I've been hooked on him since. I'm quite disappointed in his later works (except for New Police Story! ), maybe it isn't just Hollywood to blame, but he IS aging you know... At least he has a great filmography to look back on.
