Ive lost 2 companions

1st one was when i promoted my companion as official inside my castle. i told him to join my party and i replaced him with another companion. my party at that time was not full
he didnt rejoin my party and i talked to a traveler and it doesnt list his name

2nd time i "lent" my companion to a lord. after the week was up i almost got to the lord. then it said i failed the quest and the lord defected to another nation. i found the lord and sure as ****, there was no quest to turn in.

really irritating that i spent so much time on my save and i lost my 2 favorite companions

ALSO

my other 6 companions are all held in a dungeon and whenever i try to rescue them they ALWAYS attack me, forcing me to knock them all unconscious, which causes them to remain in the DUNGEON

The hostile prisoner bug has been talked about ad infinitum. Only known solution is in my sig.

so basically i lost all of my companions right? i cant think of any way to retrieve any

No...m'Lord Brutus just told you how to free those in the jail.
That, or you could find a Ransom Broker and pay their ransoms and get them out that way.

As for the other two incidents, those are Native bugs that turn up now and again...from Native features and quests that don't have anything to do with Diplomacy. Sometimes, when companions vanish as in these two incidents, they slowly reappear...but the Travelers will be no help finding them. Regardless, you're talking about Native bugs to the companion system.

Many Thanks from me too as I found an answer to my question asked in a different thread. And for the ideas too - I have never ransomed a prisoner through a brokeryet. Maybe I should read more in-game info next time. Thank you! And once more - MB:WB and mods is the best game I have played ever. I mean Last 15 years...
