So, 250 days into the game I come across the Mystmountain Army. I'm like SWEET! Check the size- 900. I leave it alone then come across it fighting 2 Jatu armies. Thinking the Jatu are going to win I bunker down and watch. The mystmountain won. At the beginning they lost a good 200 men against a lord, and I realize they must not have too many troops. They rescued all the Jatu's prisoners. Welcome, army size 1300 roaming around in mid-game!

They probably still had quite a few injured. You should have tried to attack just to see.

well... try to "persuade" the Marshal to follow you and guide him to Mystmountain Army ... the marshal with all the lords that will follow him .. and you if you decide to join ... will beat the crap out of them ...

or you could get yourself 100+ high tier troops ... get 2-3 lords to follow you and go kick their asses ... you won't win from the first clash but you will reduce their numbers A LOT !!! ... then go back home .. take some more high tier troops from your city/castle garrison and go again ... it's easy ....

I found more difficult to kill a 1000+ Jatu Army ... but it can be done quite easy ... ... having 100 Huscarls packet on the field ... anyone how wanna go trough them will die for sure ...

Well, heres the problem. Go in the field with them and you have 10 troops while they have 140.

You just need to ask lords to follow you and run with them like bunch of chickens before all of them can engage ;>

as I said ... bring a few lords with you ... try to bring one that moves slowly on the map .. so he will engage them .. and you will be able to join .. then you will have a better start .. and try doing this until you bring them to a reasonable number to beat the crap out of them

Thats nothing. Watch my mistmountain battles in the video thread. It started off against a 4500 man army. I spawned with 6 men for the first 8 battles.
By part 19 I broke them down to 2100 left.

Just as I broke from Marius tostart Pendor again, Justus Dux appeared with 1400 troops. Luckily I had 60 relation with him, but where did he even get them?

Marius Imperator had an army of 1000 troops and he had a Barclay mercenary company following him with 1500 troops. It was not pretty when my town was sieged....

sieges are not so bad ... ... look at me having Mystmire Castle and got attacked by 10+ Sarleon Lords

PS : From those 400 troops that I had .. 100 were Huscarls and 100 Sarleon Armored Longbowmen .... oh yeah .... and 15 Pendor Gray Archers

Depends on the fief you are defending. Some fiefs are not as easily defended. I had to deal with 4500 enemies too. It also depends on how persistent the enemy is like how many times they keep attacking you. In that situation I was defending a fief of one of my lords and we were attacked four times in a relatively short time period. I had to run away since a lot of my troops became unconscious. Not a big deal though since I reconquered it shortly after.

In places that are easily defended sometimes I only lose like 5 troops while the enemy loses like 300  .
