AoE2 was THE game i played most on my old computer. great series, and i can't wait to get my hands on the new one.
Ohh man it's like 5:42 am, and after my night I was really looking foward to going to bed... but not anymore! thanks a lot for that one buddy...

checked it out, could only play the american campaign of the expantion to the west. I will not buy this game and advise others to do the same, I'm shocked! playing some woman a leader of a company that expanded west and build railroads, and in the mean time conveniently not mentioning the killing of native americans, the infecting of native americans with blankets that had pocks virus on them, not mentioning that thousands of Chinese built the railroads often in inhumane conditions. this game smells of American propaganda to me.

Are you sure your monitor turns off or does it just go black?
If it just goes black, then you might try it again and alt-tab out. If you try that a few times and can get to your desktop, then try alt-tabbing back in as it *might* refresh your graphics card and start displaying the game.
Just a suggestion and good luck with it.
