Item Mesh Shows Up Wrong in Inventory Screen

Any idea how I can fix this? The axe is showing from an "up above" perspective. It is an item from the OSP set.

EDIT: There are other items doing the same thing. I created a new .BRF and imported the items that I wanted to use from OSP. When looking at them in BRF Edit, some of the items show at a different position than others. I can rotate them in the right-hand preview area, but I wasn't aware that they show in game out of position. Even one shield is rotated 90 degrees.

well if you just export it to let's say wings3D. then you place it at the same position as the sword above in your picture for example. Then just import it back  to .brf.
 
There's a checkbox somewhere in the import thingy that specifies whether to swap x,y axes. Turn it on or off, can't remember which.

I think it's default on because .obj has different axis arrangement than .brf
