Issues with Game Launch

I haven't played in a bit and missed out on most of the 1.5.2 beta, and haven't even experienced the newest beta yet. Everytime I try to launch now the game icon appears but then closes. I'm unsure as to what it is, and there seems to be a similar issue with others. Any ideas or thoughts as to how to fix this?

Have you installed the fixed launcher mod anytime before? Already verified the game files via steam?

I have the fixed launcher mod installed from several months back, and I've also verified the game files via steam as suggested by steam support. All files are validated so I'm unsure as to what it is. I've considered on removing any mods I may have. Is there an issue with the mod launcher and the newer versions of the game?
