Issues running mod merger with Python 3.6.5

Users who are viewing this thread

Hey guys, I just started trying to make myself a small personal module. I really love the vanilla game, so I am just trying to put in a couple minor tweaks:

- sweetfxmod
- Realistic rePolished Map
- Custom Character Creation
- Decapitate and Dismember
- Tournament Play Enhancements - Modmerger Kit

I have a little experience with modding and I have worked with python before, so I think if I can get modmerger to properly install, but the issue is that the current version of Python won't open the modmerger installer.py file, it simply quick crashes. I have unassociated .py after associating it with both Py 3.6.5 and Py 2.7.15(i think .15?) and it is trying to use the launcher to start, but I've also tried it with the other programs that python installed and nothing has worked, always an instant crash.

Does anyone know what I should/can do to get modmerger installed?
Is there a version of Python that will open it?

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!  :

I hope I am just missing something small that is quickly fixable. I already have sweetfx, CCC, and the repolished map working, but as everyone recommends Modmerger so highly I would like to use that to start building some mods.
