Is this mod also based from the Arthurian Legends...??

Users who are viewing this thread

I see. Anyway it's still a great mod. I hope to see THE KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE if it's possible for future patches.

Really, the knights of the round table are several companions and NPC in the books this is being based on.  Arthur, Gilleahd, and some other ones, whose names I can't remember right now.

Hi Dudro,

I'm delighted to see some of the characters you've put in. Excellent work, it feels nicely rounded out now with the companions and the fort/village names.

To any newcomers of this mod, to get a good feel for the setting either read "The Skystone" by Jack Whyte or watch the 2004 film "King Arthur" starring Clive Owen and Keira Knightley. This mod is a very fun portrayal of the vaccuum effect created in Britain when the Roman legions went packing for the mainland. It is historical fiction, not fantasy-based...

Well, I spose it is historical fiction, but probably more fiction than historical

Let's just say don't do a history report in school using this.

I've watched King Arthur and Last Legion ( Though King Arthur was a LOT BETTER ). I've been a fan of medieval ages and feudal Japan ever since I was small.

Arthur, allegedly, lived in the dark ages, not in the medieval.

Be fair. Historians like to call them the "Early Middle Ages" now, "Dark Age" being out of fashion and all.

Yes, the Dark Ages are actually part of (Early) Middle Ages.

By the way, the films "King Arthur" and "Last Legion" are not very historically accurate - they can be even called pieces of ****. I would not suggest modeling oneself on both of them.

What? You kidding?
That move is utter ****e. It is more of a torture watching it than playing Napoleon: ways to the power, and this is not a lightly made accusation.

The book is more historically accurate than the movie. No Indian chicks in the book.

...True, true...
That was seriously overdone. Also, the first thing I though when I saw the "emperor's guards" (or w/e their called) was "what the ****?" I mean, c'mon, they dual wield, wear a ridiculously made leather armor and have no shields. Also, they used their swords do slice instead of pierce (or stab, w/e). The indian chick with her fantasy weapons (that's how I remember it ) was ridiculous anyway. And I just hate it when they add a very superficial romance, or any romance at all. If I want to see people killing each other I go see a ****ing movie. Real life already has enough romance to my tastes.

And then he assumes his identity by wearing the scalp together with his gold mask, right?  No.

 I wonder why filmmakers don't just consult or hire reenactors.
