Is this an engine bug ??

I always wondered this, when i am firing an arrow and they have shield it always hit the shield even though i aimed at there legs it's still hits the shield, but when they fire an arrow they can hit my leg ?? Also noticed this with a horse when there is nothing on it i cannot hit it but when it hits me it can damage me ?? If i can;t hit the horse the horse should not be able to hit me either is there away to correct this or turn this off ??

Shield coverage is determined by the shield skill. If the troop has a high shield skill, then as long as they have their shield raised all blows will hit it even if the graphical representation doesn't cover their entire body.

As for the horses, you should be able to hit them with arrows, don't think you can stab them with melee weapons however.

It's hard but not imposible, if you get used to it, it's actually quite frequently, i hit the leg very often(actually the foot )

I have another question, in the older version of the game, sometimes i got the message "shield on the back" (or something like that), where someone hit me with a projectile weapon ( arrow, throwing Axe etc.) form behind.
Does this apply in the cuurent version (dont use shields anymore, cant tell) and the enemy doesnt seem to profit form this advantage, even in the older versions.

I just tested and I cannot.

After the rider has been removed (by choice or by force) the horse becomes invulnerable.

I can only hit it with ranged weapons.

You can kill it with melee weapons for about 2-3 seconds after it's rendered riderless.
