Is there really an afterlife?

Meh. The Christian god doesn't do enough thunderbolts out of the air and giant fireballs to have me worship him.

So on ok i don't know if the God existed. I don't know which religion is true. I don't know if Jesus is really son of God! I don't know who am i. I'm going mad. I really want to cry because i don't know what to do. Maybe i should kill myself. I really don't know. Can't remember anything about God. I trust in all religions and also i do not trust any of them. I went to mosque, i went to church, i went to sinagog, i went anywhere that God may communicate me. But no signal. But i' still trusting in God. God must be existed maybe not. I'm confused too much which is the correct way. Or is there any correct way. Or is there any God. Or am i living. **** help me God please help me.

You know what I did? I started doing what Jesus tells his friends to do. One of the things he said is:
When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most assuredly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.
Father is God.

There are many more interesting things he said and tells his friends to do. Many things are writen down in the bible. Especially chapter 5,6 and 7 of Matthew are interesting to me and taught me a lot.

Another thing Jesus said was:
One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him

So no wonder I found God, i went to do what Jesus said and he revealed himself to me

Pavlov, were you stabbed for resisting to hand over the car or the guy just decided to kill you?

Just do a simple science experiment (it only has one trial). Kill yourself and you will be able to get a definate answer to the question about whether or not there is life after death. The only problem is that you won't be able to tell other people.

You infidels!
When I die the the valkyrias will carry me to Valhalla the domain of Odin, where I shall train every day, die and next day die again! I'll train untill the Ragnarok where we shall meet men and gods side by side the hordes of Loki, the traitor.
(EDIT: Maybe I have listened too much Viking metal )

I'm agnostic. God seems unlikely, but so is an electron being in two places at the same time. I choose not to have an opinion.

It was my friends car, he was out at a Russian club talking to some one when some people came up. I was still in the car. Then they like started shoving him and pointing to his car, so I went out to see wth was going on and was poked

It wasent a bad cut, it was longer then it was deeper, so it just stung like hell.

It's both a wave and a particle.

I don't believe in god. There's no proof whatsover. You can call all the religious leaders or people on earth and not a single one can offer a shred of proof.

I believe there is an afterlife for anyone who want's an afterlife.
I believe there are reincarnations for those who wish to live again.
I believe there is what you want or hope to find.
I believe we are pawns on the chess-board of life.
I believe life is what you want it to be or.....it's just a game.

I have to say about this whole god issue is this:

God gave mankind free will. So if I choose not to believe in him, wouldn't that be the ultimate use of it?

People start to believe in God after surviving some tragedy because he saved them yet people hold nothing against It if someone they love dies in an accident. That makes no sense to me. Thousands are dying daily in third world countries without justice being served to those responsible but, God exists because you won the office pool on Sundays game.

No, there is no afterlife. No, there is no God. What happens when you die? NO ONE KNOWS! That is why man created the concept of God; to try to understand that which they do not know.

What I say isn't gonna sway anyone towards being atheist. What you say isn't gonna change me into being a believer. So I/you shouldn't even try.

It bothers me a bit when people say that, how is it at all like a game? try find a save button. Or a reset.

Well I do believe that there is a creative force, most probably a ''perfect'' being, reason being that humans already having the understanding of perfectness, eternity, things that do not exist in nature. Every idea or form in our mind has some kind of existance, except such terms, and I believe if their idea exists, they should be contained with in something too. That urges me to think; it leaves us with no choice in nature but a supernatural force. However I do not believe that whatever force that created the universe just sits and watchs us. I think that it has created a self-sustaining universe (at least for a very long time, not for ever - or it would be perfect itsself), the most successful machine created. Of course there is no such thing as the ultimate right or truth. I have not taught about the judgemental properties of god, but I am more close to believing the classical favoring good over evil, since the adjcevtive good defined by humanity tends to be conservative and unharmful to nature.

And my personal tastes urge me to believe that the god is an ironical being having amusement by putting people into weird and ironic situations. Don't ask me why, I guess I have too much irony in my life.

That is usually the result of all religous conversations (%99), the lucky ones end with out a quarrel.

Pavlov thought about it.

I think it is ridiculous, not much offense intended. If I think I'm not going to be older a year from now, I am still going to age a year. Somethings in life are definite, death is one of them. When you die, whatever happens after that is going to happen regardless of what you believed. I personally lean more towards the whole reincarnation idea except that when you are "reborn" you are not the same person from the previous life. You start fresh, clean, unique. You have no ties to your "former" self. The only reason people believe that in a former life they were something great is because of what they have learned in this lifetime. When you know a lot about armoring (like Kniggit) you start to get a feel for what is was like for others in that time period. Then you make the connection, "Maybe I was a blacksmith in a former life." Nobody has ever claimed, "I was a world famous Haberdasher in my past life!" because they don't know wtf haberdashery is all about.

I thought about your little poem for three seconds before I just dismissed it as a gothy cry for attention. And just because it "cane" from your heart don't make it any truer. Sorry. I know I might sound kinda (ok hella) elitist here but, that is just because I am superior to you (just kidding).

If I wasen't laughing so hard, I'd ***** at you for being such a bastard .

Rando is right tho Shadow, I mean, It's cool that it came from your hart or what not, but... you really can't make a statement and expect people to discuss it and take it seriously unless you provide something more then, as he said gothic poetry.

It's all about elaborating, atleast to some extent. Or else people can't hardly make heads or tails of what you post.

I know God exists, I don't believe he exists, i really know. If it's possible for me to find out, it's possible for everyone.

If God is real, why doesn't he reveal himself? He does, he really does. But for one it's quite cool he doesn't rub his greatness in our face, because we would only be depressed that we could never gain what he has and never be who he is. And that wouldn't be love if God did it to depress us. And besides, God is God, it doesn't mather what men do or say, it doesn't change the truth, he doesn't need men to become who he is, because he already is who he is.
It's also cool to find out about God and getting to know him when you search for it yourself, out of your own will.

You might resemble it with a very rich man who doesn't talk to anyone about his forture, because he only wants to be surrounded by true friends and share it with them.

The great thing is this way of life won't keep going on like this forever. Everyone will have had the same time and choices in different ways and everyone is waiting for the time when everyone will be raised from the dead to be judged for their deeds. From those who've been given more, more will be expected. And it's still possible to get rid of evil deeds you did or someone else did through Jesus. Not to be free of punishment to keep doing evil deeds. But to be free of doing evil.

I'm not entirely sure about what exactly happens when someone dies, but I suppose we'll all find that out  But I do know some things that will happen. You'll just have to find out that God is trustworthy and only speaks the truth. If God lies he would be judged by his own law, it's even logical.

So, do I know what's in the afterlife out of my own intelligence? No, I haven't been there. How do I know anything about the afterlife? I know God exists and speaks the truth and I know things He said about things to come. All I have to do is sit back, relax, and wait for those things to come.
