is there is a way to fix the way of giving castle to npc's by voting

i want to know is there is a way to fix the thing that happened when i take a new castle and the votes is very random between either a very far lord that if he took the castle it will be unreasonable for him to take a very far castle far away from his land or the other votes is a family that has a lot of castles and it sometimes didn't even participate in the battle to take the castle .
is there is a way to control that or even make more reasonable.

There's a mod called "no election if you're the ruler" but I don't know if it's updated. But I agree it's a shamefully bad system and causes endless annoyances and complaints.
