Is there any chance of making the siege defender reinforcement points multi-tiered in towns?

By changing the siege defenders' reinforcement point from one spot in a town's courtyard to several reinforcement points that that adapt to the attacker's advance by moving closer and closer to the keep, the game can finally have street battles in towns. Since the new patch will make it so that if the player attempts to retreat when they are defending a castle or a town, it will cause the player to surrender, a progressive reinforcement system would make both the siege offence more fun and varied, as well as making the siege defence much more immersive by portraying a desperate defence getting crushed further and further.

AFAIK siege defence positions are static, so, spreading defenders through multiple tiers with the current system would merely weaken forward defences. A tiered defence without this defect would require either multiple scenes to playout different stages of the scenes strung together with revised C# coding or a rework of the game's programming to give the defenders a fall back behaviour - retreating to and rallying at the next line of defences. I believe the latter would be a major change, which is extremely unlikely this close to release. The former, I think you'll only get with mods. It's certainly under consideration by at least one full conversion mod.

Damn, yeah you're probably right. The AI has a hard time defending a siege 2-to-1 right now, if TW somehow implemented this, they probably would get demolished every time. Maybe Shokuho mod (or however its spelled) can do something like this since Gekokujo kinda had street battles.
