is there an option to get to inventory screens immediately?

i love this game but i HATE the menu design.  i cant find a way to compare gear easily between companions, i always have to back out and then ask another companion.  is there a magic button that lets me flip from one companions inventory to another without have to go through all the menus again?  most games have little arrows at you can press.

Unfortunately there isn't such a 'magic button', though the idea is a good one and has been suggested before in the suggestions board I think.

By the way, here is another thread by someone asking pretty much the same question:http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,125048.0.html. The third post mentions a mod which apparently addresses the shortcoming.

yeah i noticed that thread after i had made mine.  im using diplomacy right now so its not too bad since they have the auto-loot feature and so far they seem to be picking the correct armors.
