Is there an IRC Channel ?

I know his forum is very active but I don't keep normal human hours. Sometimes like at 3:42 am I wish to have some on the spot help or answers to questions. Is there an IRC Channel for Mount and Blade?

I figure since folks from all over this planet play the game if there were an IRC Channel, perhaps I could find help at that time of night. If not IRC perhaps another type of live chat?

Er.. I should have mentioned. I saw that post,  its back from 2005 and the channel no longer exists. ( I have tried to go there several times)

Any other channels you folks know of or other chat programs?

It's probably just Quakenet being rude. It still exists, and it's used frequently.

I should warn you, the discussions there usually aren't about M&B. The regulars there are mostly Off-Topic people here.

If they try to trick you into believing it's a gardening channel, don't listen to them.

Yeah, most of the talk is about porn over in IRC, IIRC.

Ruthven I hope you were just talking about the IRC Mount&Blade channel, and not IRC in general. I use IRC all the time to go to live support for Windows 7, Linux.  I even know of several small businesses that use IRC for live tech support. not to mention the tons of channels that are clean, and don't allow porn or warez. I just wanted to make the point because IRC can be a really great tool and I didn't want people turned of from it by your post.

IRC does have a lot of channels where people are very juvenile , but there are so many channels on various servers one can go to it's easy to find a good channel with the topics you want that is clean or at least free from the bad things like porn that give IRC a bad name.

There are no good channels. All the ones you think you find are just rapists and cereal (not serial, cereal) killers trying to lull you into a false sense of security.

Well i was able finally to log on.  so the IRC channel is there.. but sadly only one person there remembers playing M&B and that was years ago.. it's not good for M&B help.. but they did help me with my tomatoes <grin>
