Is there a reason that their pricing it at £10 more than Warbands original release?

Im not complaining, nor am i worried about the price. Its the absolute state of things as it has always been. Im objectively curious about your job that pays at least 50 bucks a day. I could make do with that.
Where i live the average gross salary is €3560, this would be €42720 a year GROS, with taxes this makes about €28123 a year or €2020 a month or €505 a week or €101 a day if you only work during the week. Obviously expenses such as food or bills are not completely taken into account. All holidays may vary so its probably around €80 a day.

I'm shocked at the amount of people thinking $50 a day is good money. That's an minimum earned here for 6 hour shift

I'm absolutely fine with the price. You'd hate console gaming, every single game is 92 dollars CAD after taxes, even the crap games.

Thankfully I finally got a buddy to buy a PC, I won't be missing those prices.

In America, the federal minimum wage (some states have an even higher floor) is $7.25 per hour. This means that the very lowest of the low jobs in America, the lowest a company can legally pay its employees, provides $58 per 8-hour workday.

i mean thats not entirely true. Console also have plenty of budged games and sales. Also Gamepass and montly games bundled in the membership.

But ya the kind of game Bannerlord is and how much effort got into it, its quite cheap. Consider how much people pay for going to burger king or a Cinema Movie which last 90-180 minutes

Also gaming used to be much more expensiv, it got quite consumer friendly. but i guess we have a prime exemple of "give a finger take the whole hand". Imagine Taleworld would be like Nintendo.

Bannerlord Vlandia Edition and Bannerlord Sturgia Edition. If you want both faction, well to bad you have to buy the game twice.

Oh there is cheaper games, but on release every game on console is full price. With the exception of some PSN games that aren't AAA quality.

I only just got Xbox game pass for PC and it's a good way to try out for sure, but you still need to buy DLC and in my experience the multiplayer seems to have a lot of issues with the games I've played so far.

Sadly the PC version of Gamepass is not quite perfect yet, but its also the "Beta App" but the problems lie often in the MS Store. There plenty of story driven games that are easily completable with Gamepass tho. I m quite happy that i only needed 1€ to complete Halo 5... the first Halo i dont really want in my collection.

Why are we discussing whether the game is worth it's price tag and not why every semi-AAA game has their price tag at either 39.99 or 59.99?
What's the logic behind it? Are people here really gonna run on arguments containing numbers of employees or technological development?
Let's see. You can grab Star Citizen for ~50 USD, Bannerlord for ~50 USD or the latest CoD for ~50 USD. What's the similarity between the games and how do you justify the same price tag for three immensely different game companies with games running on various engines, various development rates and various numbers of employees within the same industry?

I feel like being able to return it or wait for reviews to roll in really balances it out. Maybe the EA will be super broken, but even then you can simply wait. Is the price going to increase when we leave EA?

From the beta it's more than a fair price considering the price on games from other companies like EA..

Ehrr... I think you're just whinging tbh. If you want to compare BL to WB pricewise then WB was made by 2 people, BL made by 60. It's more expensive to make than WB was.

Warband was made by 2 people?????????????????????????????
Im amazed.

It's not necessarily being a cheapskate, I know what it's like to have limited funds and want to play lots of games. Then the issue is compounded by value/quality of game when so many releases tend to be terrible cash grabs (EA/ Current Bethesda/ Ubisoft). Heck I still buy most my games on Steam Sales or something, with a few exceptions for games I believe to be worth it (typically maybe 1 or 2 games a year, full price). It's an understandalbe dilemma if you've been there. (No, never a penny from parents). In context your rent makes sense, so I apologise for any offense.

I agree the speculated 'I'd pay £XYZ' is hyperbole, or a little on the crazy side. Myself I'd cap out at maybe £65ish, beyond that and I'd want a finished polished masterpiece, with more bells and whistles than is realistic.
Although you might not get to play it the end of this month there is good news. When you get it you will have the whole shebang, hopefully us lot will have encountered all the bugs and gotten them reported and Taleworlds will have them fixed too.
Your first experience of Bannerlord will be a complete one.

That's not a fair comparison though. Warband was amazing back then. It was 10 years ago, and if you wanna inflate the price then inflate the difference in resource and ability which can go into creating a game. It's not like they could use the engine that bannerlord runs on. Bannerlord is only where it is because of warband. It's the NEXT warband. So maybe they should keep the prices roughly the same
Your stingy'ness actually makes me cringe. There are 100's of poor quality games out there with far higher price tags. How much do you pay to see a movie? $10 - $15 for 2 hours of entertainment yet you are paying $40 for unlimited entertainment, following dedicated mods, brand new features in a genre leading company....and you cry because 10 years later, you have to pay $10 more...Jesus Christ mate, you don't deserve the game and if you can't afford an extra $10 then I'm sad for you. And if it's not because you can't afford it and it's purely out of "ethics", inflation is real, staff cost money, programs cost money & time costs money so for all the effort they put in, you should be paying triple.

Not only is it worth every penny (WB and M&B are by far the best ratio of playtime to a dollar out of any games I've ever played) but since demand and interest is MUCH higher, they could price it up easily.
